    Go for the food

Quirky but in a good way. Very friendly staff, comfortable room, dog-friendly (although we don't have one). Very interesting part of the country but, above all, wonderful place to eat. Fabulous evening meal, (possibly) even better breakfast.

    Just Fantastic

John and the team were incredible! We felt very welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be visiting again next year.

    4/5 Good

The good life in restaurant form

This is really a restaurant and bar with rooms rather than a full hotel. The rooms are pretty and quirky in a shabby chic way and have everything you need but what this place is all about is the food and the food is everything lovely and delightful from a luscious velvety wild mushroom soup to Eton Mess . Modern British at its best. This is also a smallholding where they do their own smoking and brining . They also do barbecue which bears the same resemblance to normal people's BBQ as a de Lorean to a Reliant Robin. The building is a bit of an eyesore from the outside, there is a precipitous descent into the car park and it's in the middle of nowhere but once you are inside all these things are forgotten.
