Close to everything and classy
Wonderful hotel, super nice and attentive staff. If visiting a student at WAU, this is perfect. Cute neighborhood bar and grills and coffee shops too.

4th Stay
This is the 4th week long stay at The Richardson in the last 2 years. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very good have dined at The Opus restaurant on several occasions. This time I was disappointed as I requested 2 beds in the room and none were available. Had to pay extra for a suite on top of the amount already paid for an executive room. The room offered was with a view overlooking the car park. No discount was given not even a complimentary bottle of wine. Disappointed.

A very nice boutique hotel
A very nice boutique hotel. Staff and service were top notch. Its in a more residential area, but close to West Perth and an easy walk to the CBD.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Richardson. It was very classy, with great service and very comfortable rooms. Heated pool could have been a few degrees warmer to cater for recreational swimmers not champions.

Hotel was a pleasant surprise, nice location just a short walk from King's Park, probably lacking local restaurants but accessible to other parts of the town easily. Room was spacious and well set out, but it was the service that excelled. The staff were friendly and helpful, and really enhanced our stay there. Particular praise goes to Claire who obviously takes pride in what she does. Will likely stay there again on our next visit to Perth!

Lovely, stylish hotel away from the humdrum
Extremely friendly, competent staff. Beautifully appointed and comfortable room but a tad small. Lovely terrace facing sunset. Close to beautiful Kings Park, CBD, University and Swan River. The only drawback was that I wasn't sure where to be if I didn't want to be in our room. There is a guest lobby with newspapers and refreshments which looked comfortable but not that inviting because quite dark..

Quiet Gem
Very much enjoyed this elegant hotel with friendly, respectful staff. This was the perfect escape to relax and re-charge from an exhausting few weeks at work. Only wish we could have stayed another night. One slightly negative comment was that we could have done without the music, which was played constantly while we were having breakfast in the restaurant but apart from that, loved our stay and we'll certainly be back.

We stayed at the Richardson for a one night get away. It was lovely. Opus restaurant is lovely, although expensive. The staff were very attentive and helpful. It was a weekend so it was whisper quiet. We made use of the gym and pool which was nice as well.

From the moment I walked in, the staff went above and beyond my expectations. The service provided by the staff was top notch. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day. Highly recommended!

From the minute we entered this hotel I had a feeling of deja vu.......I mean I felt the quality I used to experience in the hotels of Perth in the 80's....the Alan Bond days. Long lunches elegantly dressed with quality staff silver service trained who genuinely cared for your well-being and overall experience of their establishment. The owner of this hotel came out to greet us at reception - rare and much appreciated. The bed was magnificent as were the pillows. The staff were eager to please and walked us through the aspects of the room, again rare. We couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.

A high quality hotel with professional and friendly staff. A great location close to cafe/restaurant choices in West Perth and Subiaco, but tucked away in a quite street. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway.

A beautiful experience
We stayed here for my wife's birthday and couldn't have been more impressed with the service and standards at the Richardson. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel like the only people staying at the hotel - the service felt personal, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable at all times - it felt like nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning to the Richardson one day soon in the future! :)

Worth it.
This was our wedding night so we were only there for a short time but we were treated to a free upgrade. Room was excellent, clean and we would have liked to have been able to stay longer. Very nice.

Nice hotel not in the busiest area
The staff were nice and helpful. The room was upgraded without asking. There was a very hot sauna and a heated pool as well as a nice gym. If you are willing to walk about 15-20 min to get to the downtown CBD, it is lovely. There also is a free bus service about one block away but it does not run after about 7pm. We wish there were a convenience store or late night coffee shop nearby but everything closes early. We still would recommend this hotel without reservation.

Wonderful staff, beautiful rooms. The bed was surprisingly more comfortable than i originally thought it would be. Gorgeous hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city traffic.

Fantastic Hotel close to King's Park
From the moment we stepped out of the car the hotel lived up to our expectations. The staff are wonderful, polite, efficent and friendly and are absolute credit to to the hotel. The personal service received from check in ,to be personally taken up to the room and then to find we had been upgraded was just lovely. The rooms have a luxurious feel, big fluffy towels int the bathroom along with an excellent water pressure from the shower. Our rate included breakfast which we really enjoyed, again the staff were excellent. This hotel is in a quiet location and close to King's Park which was perfect for us. The hotel I am sure was fully booked but you felt you were the only guests. We really enjoyed the residents room where tea and coffee were complimentary and we enjoyed looking at all the famous guests photo's on the wall. We would definitely stay again.

Luxury boutique hotel
A truly luxurious experience - the rooms, facilities, service and dining - in a quiet location away from the noise of the CBD but still easily accessible via bus or car. We had a great family stay in a 2-bed self-contained apartment.

Hidden Gem in West Perth
5 day say for a business trip, didn't know this hotel before and was very surprised to find such a boutique high class hotel in this part of Perth! Everything really close and easy to get to, 5-7$ close in todays Uber terms ;-). Staff outstanding and Opus is a treat! Unfortunately had no time to enjoy the Spa but the menu looked amazing! I will be back!

Was not the same hotel per 4 years ago.
A lot of fuss made around 'celebrity guest' even to the point of, as I walked towards the restaurant that I had dined in many times, I was instructed 'do not go in there' and all I was doing was looking for dining. Staff seemingly unable to be 'present' when 'celebrities are inhouse', hence other guests are forgotten, including the 'entourage of this celebrity, controlled the hotel' seemingly, even at bfast. One lovely staff member was the saving grace of the stay. For double the price of another 5 star hotel in city, this hotel 'needs to pick up the pace' with at least an 'exhaust fan' in the bathroom for steam, door to bathroom tiny, no coffee sachets only machine coffee, bed harder than many other hotel beds, overall not a 5 star experience quite honestly 3.5 more likely, although, staff did try to hold the hotel in it's known 5 star level and pricing of double other rooms nights at other 5 stars in Perth on this night. I would like to try again, and hopefully if 'no celebrities inhouse' a different room for less cost, the whole experience would be much better, including advance advice 'there are ONLY showers' in some rooms with as before a double price tag? The Gold lamp shades etc, gave an impression of 5 star, but everything else not so, definitely not international standard or local standard 5 star. A sincere shame as I had been looking forward to coming back to the hotel as a guest, and encouraged to do so by others.
