Nice hotel. Close to kings park and city.

Pros: I liked that it was off main roads so it was relatively quiet and accessible for taxis to pick you up. Also quick walk to buses.
Cons: The gym looked really well equiped but the treadmill and exercise bike needed maintenance and were faulty.
Hotel staff were extremely polite and very helpful and knowledgeable.

Cheap and good location

Posted 01-Jun-2015 on Wotif
Forgot our parking reservation, and on the display couldn't write down any correct details. After the first day they deactivated our room keys and asked if we had them near our mobiles (no) and didn't apologize for the inconvenience. Parking a nightmare, tight bays. Also could never use the room key to get in and out of the carpark. Can hear the plumbing from other rooms. Grout in shower and air vents not clean. It's good for a cheap couple of nights but you get what you pay for.

Wouldn't stay again!

Posted 01-Jun-2015 on Wotif
Cons: Facilities need to be improved as it was quite prison like. No air or even air-con!
Received a small double bed instead of a king (paid for a king room). No air-con available so it was muggy and hot. Staff came to clean my room at 8am!!

A Small Hotel for Perth CBD Standards

Posted 12-May-2015
I stayed at the Hotel in early May 2015, as part of a two night wedding stint. I was disappointed to get a small room overlooking the impressive air conditioning ducts out my main window. Despite being clean and tidy, the room was too small for a CBD Hotel. The wash basin was low and had no space to prop up my various trinkets. Neither was there a proper door to close off the toilet form the rest of the room, and the shower had no ventilation. I would have liked to have control over the aircon, particularly on a hot night.

Room is large & clean... but that's about it

Posted 02-May-2015 on Hotels
I'll start by saying the room itself was large, very clean, comfortable and the hotel is in a great location (especially if you love hill and stair running/climbing... The famous Jacobs Ladder is located just behind it). However two things were disappointing: The elevators were terrible... Bumpy and jerky and kind of scary! However only one was in operation as they appeared to be in the middle of replacing them, one at a time so I guess future guests will be using new elevators. There was also a weird, whistling/screeching noise disturbing both myself and my partner when we were trying to sleep... Unsure if it was the building's pipes or the wind whistling through something. We mentioned it to reception in the hope they might be familiar with the noise but was met with a response that was pretty underwhelming... Basically, the individual we dealt with did not give a toss that I'd spent the night with my pillow folded over my head. The hotel seemed empty at the time... Probably wouldn't have been a big deal to offer to move us to the other side of the building. Instead, we were basically told: "Mehhhhhh..." And no attempt was made to remedy the situation. We merely had to put up with it. Lucky for all, we attended a wedding the next evening and were too tired to notice it as much that second night! I will say that the staff who checked us in and out were pleasant enough.

Pros: Great to so close to the city centre.
Cons: Breakfast rates could be a little cheaper from the menu as a full buffet menu not required.
Our experience was very pleasing from the moment we checked in to pre dinner drinks in the bar.The staff where very pleasant and helpful.Would stay there again.
