Chosen for it's central position and 5 star rating
Chose this hotel in Perth for it's location and the fact it had a 5 star rating. Well, forget the 5 stars, lets keep it realistic and give the hotel 2 stars.
There is splendor when you walk through the doors,it stops at the lifts, they are very old and creeky, very slow too!
We were given room 1412, nothing like the photo's you may see when booking. Very dull and very old furniture,it's a joke to call this 5 star rating, the best rating is 2 stars, very, very disappointing.
The most worrying fact in the room is that THE WINDOWS ARE BOLTED SHUT!!! What if there's a fire and the window is the only safe exit, imagine, fire on floor 14,firemen asking you to open window so they can rescue you, however, you can't there's a bolt through it! I did call in at a local fire station and asked their advise, quote "they didn't like the idea"
This vacation was a treat for my partners birthday, she and i were very disappointed.I forgot to add, when i complained about the windows,i was told by the receptionist that a manager would speak to me about it, NOBODY BOTHERED!
The hotel offered us absolutely nothing for the disappointment we had endured for the 15 nights we stayed there. In fact my partner did try to change our flights to come back home after the third day we were there!
Travelers going to Perth be sure that you will be getting nothing like 5 star rooms on the 14th floor, however, you will be expected to pay 5 star prices throughout the rest of the hotel

Dear Tracy & Gordon,
We regret that you were disappointed during your stay. Our Chief Concierge did relay your concern to us and the team after your conversation with him. As mentioned, as per WA's regulations, all windows without balconies should be locked at all times. More importantly, our hotel strictly adheres to health & safety policies and procedures and we do have designated fire exits at strategic locations should such incident occur. Additionally, associates are trained to deal with such incidences.
We appreciate your concern and we apologise that the locked windows inconvenience you, however, the safety of our guests is always our utmost priority.
