Excellent staff, bad quality rooms.
First off the staff at the Mantra were excellent, very helpful and friendly.
The hotel rooms however were absolutely not the grade we were expecting from a luxury hotel in the city. We had to request a room change, our TV didn't work when we arrived - very minor but still, the floors were absolutely disgusting covered in stains and just filthy, our feet were black just from walking around the room. The bed made us itch all night hence a sleepless night and the pillows were terrible, as in old, dirty, discolored, misshaped and basically something you would not want to rest your head on especially coming from a hotel. Obviously hundreds of people have slept on those pillows without replacement for a number of years. Very disappointed.
We were given a room change to a slightly more comfortable and cleaner room but in all still not I would rate as clean and comfortable.
Excellent staff just an old, dirty, poor hotel.
Noise is also a problem on the lower floors.
If you want a good comfortable rest, avoid this hotel.
