A Pleasant Hotel With Nice Facilities
Upon arrival and check-in, the hotel did not have my reservation, which was booked through Expedia. Even though I had received confirmation from Expedia. The hotel advised that Expedia make the bookings direct and that they do not have any control over it. It was a bit frustrating, as I was trying to login to my emails at the reception area of the hotel to show the confirmation email received from Expedia. But everything turned out fine and the hotel check-in was pretty quick. The room I was given was a nice big room with king sized bed and a large flat screen television. The room was very clean, although the bathroom was looking a bit dated and could use a freshen up, especially as this is a 5 star hotel.
The hotel lobby is very impressive, with the fountain and obelisk in the middle and bar at the rear and restaurant/café at the side. I used this area quite often for a quick coffee and a read of the daily paper.
I dined at the hotel restaurant on one occasion and everything was excellent, couldn't fault anything.
The Hyatt's location is at the beginning of Adelaide Terrace, so it was a bit far from most popular places. I was lucky that there were free bus services within the city area, which took you to most popular places with only minimal walking required with the bus stop almost right at the front.
I would certainly stay here again.
