Hotel charges exorbitant rates for local calls
The staff of the hotel restaurant were unfriendly and very unattentive .I paid for a beer and we ordered a basket of fries with that. The restaurant was empty , the fries came first ,after 15 minutes a beer was unceremoniously plopped in front of me .The same treatment was afforded us the next time we ate there. The staff was too busy talking .
My big issue was with a $31 charge for a local call of 10minutes from my room. There were no posted rates in the room and that was an excessive charge.Another guest before me was charged 130$ for a 13min out of state call! Rip off.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the Holiday Inn Perth City Centre.
We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and certainly disappointed to read we did not meet your expectations in the Ivy & Jack Restaurant. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the experience which I assure you is not the level of service we strive to achieve. Your feedback is valued and assists us to review and improve going forward; so please be assured that your feedback will be passed onto the outlets management team.
As a point of reference all our call rates can be found on our digital compendium which is located on the in room TV. Please note that mobile phone numbers and international lines are considered premium calls and consequently charged at a high rate.
We would be delighted to have opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel if your travels bring you back to Perth in the future. We certainly value the prospect in providing you the warm and friendly service we are known for.
