Set on a country Estate on the southern fringes of the Scottish Highlands, you get stunning views over the heather-clad hills. A host of fantastic sporting, recreational and cultural opportunities await guests on the Estate and nearby, including grouse shooting, deer stalking, and salmon fishing. Welcome to Stables Cottage! This former stable block has been given a new lease of life as a beautiful cottage, taking up one side of a cobbled courtyard. The thick walls and wooden doors with deep window sills and skylights retain a sense of history while creating a wonderfully light property. Enter through a covered porch into the main living space, focused on the cosy log burner. Relax on the comfy sofas, perfect for a board game around the coffee table, with windows overlooking the garden. The well-equipped farmhouse style kitchen area has a circular dining table and leads to a separate utility room. Head down the hall to the bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom has a super king-sized bed with a large walk-in shower in the en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has twin beds with a bath and shower over in its en-suite bathroom. The farmhouse feel continues with tartan carpets and metal bed frames in both bedrooms. Outside there is ample room for parking. There is a large, lawned garden with patio furniture and bbq. Stables Cottage is part of Logiealmond Estate, a privately-owned working farm and country Estate in Perthshire, Scotland. Known for its beautiful scenery, the area also boasts excellent sporting and recreational opportunities all year round. These include high quality driven and walked up grouse and game shooting, first class pheasant and partridge shooting, red, roe and fallow deer stalking, salmon and sea trout fishing on the River Tay and River Almond, and clay-pigeon shooting. Vikki and the housekeeping team will be available to support you throughout your stay. Try your hand at fishing on the Tay, Scotland’s longest river, with Fishponds, or if you’re looking for an adrenaline-filled experience we can arrange white water rafting, river bugging or canyoning with Splash Rafting. Other memorable experiences include stand up paddle boarding, abseiling and paintballing. Bring your own mountain bike to explore our network of trails around the Estate. You can also mountain bike in any of Scotland’s national forests too. In nearby Perth, we can arrange visits to Deuchny Bike Park or Comrie Croft who both have an excellent network of tracks and trails in the beautiful Perthshire countryside. Our Estate Manager Philip, is a keen hillwalker and will be happy to advise on local walks and munros to ‘bag’ during your visit. GAME SHOOTING AND SIMULATED GAME SHOOTING AT LOGIEALMOND Logiealmond Estate is fast becoming renowned for its high quality sporting and hospitality driven game shoot days. See our shoot calendar for available dates between September and January with a full mix of sporting birds. Outwith the game shooting season, guests can try their hand at clay pigeon shooting and enjoy our expert-led simulated game shoots. It’s a great outdoor sport that can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of age and physical ability. A fantastic activity to get together with friends and family to practice your shooting skills, improve your hand-eye coordination, and sharpen your focus!
