Nice hotel, not 5 star.

Posted 13-Feb-2017
Hotel was nice enough. Rooms and furnishings were quite dated. Some renovations were taking place in the hallway; patching to the ceilings. Shower fittings need updating. Buffet breakfast was really good. Lobby was beautiful. More like a 4 star hotel, not quite a 5.

Very nice hotel great location

Posted 08-Feb-2017
Was very disappointed with buffet breakfast has the hot food was not hot and neither was the coffee for a five star establishment I would at least have expected more than luke warm food and coffee. That is my only complaint being has breakfast was not cheap $35per person.

Good hotel with very well-maintained facilities.

Posted 02-Feb-2017
In a nutshell: Food: Had breakfast and evening canapes in the hotel everyday. Quality exceeded my expectations. I'm a coffee snob - so I wished the coffees were a teeny bit better. Room: Upgraded to a Club Twin room for mum and myself. Bed was so comfortable. I wanted to sleep in everyday. Location: If you are coming to the hotel by public transportation. there is an airport service 380 which stops directly in front of the hotel. Not bad for a 25-minute ride costing $4.60! There aren't many food places nearby but there is always the option of walking down to the CBD/Elizabeth Quay area to look for more food. Note that there isn't a CAT bus stop directly in front of the hotel -- the nearest ones are at Elizabeth Quay Bus Station and on Barrack Street. Service: Special shoutout to Alima (Reception), the Concierge guys and girls, and Umesha from the Club Lounge. Umesha, your service standard is impeccable for a young lady your age.

Clean, accessible hotel

Posted 30-Jan-2017
Good experiewnce for first time there. Touted as casual and for a 5 star it was, but not the thongs and boardies in Bali type casual (a good thing). Only criticism was the fee for valet parking but there are parking options around the hotel. Pool is awkwardly accessible, especially with smaller kids, when busy, but is great. Just take care on the tiled floors coming down from the pool after a swim, some people still think it's ok to walk through a hotel with wet costumes

Luxurious hotel in the centre of Perth CBD.

Posted 04-Jan-2017
Pros: The hotel is excellent for romantic young and/or retired couples, and has a quiet ambience in the lobby, swimming pool and club restaurant.
Cons: All staff are very courteous, but 1 in the club restaurant was too opinionated for me, whilst 1 at checkout was too gruff. Need training in courtesy.
Location: The hotel is close to central Perth, next to Elizabeth Quay, the railway station, Barrack Square and the ferry, and the shops in Hay and Murray Sts.
We had a suite on the 14th floor overlooking the city and next to the club restaurant. The suite is very large, luxurious and comfortable and located in the club area which allowed us to use the club restaurant overlooking the Swan River for a good breakfast and relaxing drinks and refreshments between 6pm and 8pm. This was very popular and the service from the ladies there was very courteous. The hotel is next to Perth's concert hall where we went on New Year's Eve for the Vienna Pops concert. The hotel is also close to Elizabeth Quay. As a 5 star hotel in the centre of a city it is quite affordable and well worth the stay. We stayed there for 4 nights and will stay again.
