A few steps away from shopping center. Room is large and comfortable. However, it is abit expensive for late check out is no provided. Have to pay one day full rate just for extension till 5.30pm. No car park and gym is quite a distance away. House cleaning got room for improvement.

Overnight stop

Very handy for shops restaurants and transport. Very good comfy bed and crispy white sheets. A bit tricky to maintain constant shower temperature but hey, that saves water. Lovely view over city skyscrapers.Staff very friendly and prompt. Quiet room with good facilities. Shower products better than I expected and a little touch of luxury.

2nd time around- no so nice

Posted 18-May-2017 on Wotif
Pros: Location and good beds
Cons: noise mitigation on the front windows
Location: everything is so close, station; busses, tourist route, eateries and attractions. Location Fantastic.
After staying at the Mantra on Murray the previous Saturday night, I had no hesitations as our stay the week before was fantastic (10/ 10) but what a difference another room makes. We were facing the Street, overlooking the hotel that partied all night, we heard every glass, cheer; yelling taxis, fights and women until the very early hours of the morning, not to mention the crowds from an event that poured along the street until that trains stopped. not fun at all, If I am ever there again I would request a room away from the street.

We found the room "stuffy" even though the airconditioner was on. it would be nice to have some fresh air. otherwise stay was OK

Great place for re-union

Posted 11-May-2017 on Hotels
Friendly staff, nice clean room although bed was difficult to get into due to luggage ramp at the end that made It difficult getting in and out during the night. Good restaurant and coffee shop on premises made it a great place for afternoon get togethers with friends. Only one chair at kitchen table made it difficult for eating in the room.

Pros: room size, location, James on reception for his gold standard assistance
Cons: hotel room access cards can become faulty quickly
We now always stay at the Mantra on Murray when we travel to Perth. We have tried other city hotels but we like the location of the Mantra and the room size. Last time we stayed the air-conditioning in our room wasn't working. James, from reception, came to the room, assessed the situation and sorted it all out. When we arrived for our most recent stay James was on reception and greeted us warmly. Over the stay he fixed our room access cards, internet connection and gave advice about joining the Mantra Club. I over heard James provide the same level of service to other guests during our stay. Front of desk is so important and James is the Mantra on Murray's best advertisement. Sorry I don't know his last name but he is tall, black hair cut high on the sides.

Great central spot

Posted 09-May-2017
Pros: Ease of access
Cons: Have a TV in the bedroom area, may be planned to as mounting bracket marks indicating something to go up.
Location: Two shopping street malls within 2 minutes, including Myers and David Jones as well as the central train station 10 minutes slow walk.
Able to walk in the centre shopping district of Perth and see major sites, catch trains and buses all within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and although we had a few roadwork areas complicating parking at the time it was easy to access and again a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Will be staying there every trip back to Perth and advising family and friends to do the same.
