"Another pleasant stay at the Parklands"
As this is my fourth time staying at the Parklands it's like I had never left from four years ago. Was nice and quiet and my room was the one that I had requested. I had dinner one night in the dining room and it was excellent and the serving staff were so nice and very efficient. Breakfast was good for the start of your day. The only complaint was the lighting outside. It was very dark in the parking lot and barely any light outside the front door, my friend tripped so something should be done about that before the hotel gets sued.

Went for the pool and leisure activities unfortunately their was a problem with the ventilation system. Was not expecting to pay for your vegetables after forking out nearly £50 for two main courses.

"Excellent Hotel with Spa facilities and more "
If booking and hoping to use the Victorian Spa you need to book when you book your room. One of the main reasons I choose this hotel was so i could swim in the Victorian Spa and we were looking forward to using the Spa facilities over the weekend. However there was no available bookings unless you wished to book in the evening when we were intending to eat! Excellent facilities, horse riding, Clay pigeon shooting, pool, snooker etc and good friendly staff. Lots for children as well. There is another pool to swim in which does not cost extra but we thought it would be worthwhile paying the extra for 2 hours to use the adult only spa (if we could have!) Breakfast excellent, help yourself from a wide variety of food. Bad points of the weekend. We did book an evening meal for the first evening (booked in advance). Asking for 7.30 we were offered 7.45 as they were busy. Starter was excellent and came quickly - can't fault it. However the main course had still not arrived by 9.15 and we were starving! Staff very apologetic and we were given 2 free bottles of wine - but all we wanted was food not drink! My daughters food when it came, she was half way through and found an hair in her food. It was the last straw for her and she retired to bed, still hungry but also feeling sick at having found it in her mouth (not hers). The food however was really good and when catering for so many people did do really well.

Couldn't have been any better location for our trip. Accommodations were fine, layout in the room could have been improved. The staff was always accommodating, no matter what personnel were on duty or what part of the hotel you were in

"Two night stay"
Room was a decent size double in a separate building from main hotel. The bed was comfortable, shower was adequate and décor was old fashioned. The windows are old single glazed units, but hotel is not on main street and is quiet. There is a small pool which was popular with families. Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked and good selection: Finnan Haddie with poached eggs a personal favourite.

"Beautiful setting"
Stayed at hotel before when it was under Hilton and it was great. It was my husbands 60th and he wanted to go back to go for walks and sit by the roaring fire and just chill. The hotel is undergoing extensive reservations but the most disappointing thing that we noticed straight away was they have moved reception and put it in front of the log fire so nobody can sit. The amount of people that complained about that one thing was unreal. People that have been going for years said they wouldn't be back. It won't stop us going back but hopefully by the time we do all the renovations will be done as we were wakened at 7 30 every morning with the noise. One more thing we went for a drink at 11pm and the bar was shut. As I say hopefully things will be better next time.

"last minute booking "
Booked whilst driving up the A9 and needed to stop. Arrived within half an hour of booking. No problem as everything was sorted. Lovely room and as the hotel didn't cook after high tea on a Sunday we were recommended an Italian restaurant a short walk from the hotel.

Good boutique hotel. Liked the old traditional style of the hotel. The room was clean. Did not like the parking being outside the premises.

Pocket Guide: Business Hotels in Perth and Kinross

North of Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh, visitors can discover one of the country’s old capitals, the city of Perth, better known today for its attractive hotels and culinary delights than as a political centre. However, Perth and its surrounding areas still hold many of the landmarks that played a part in its history, including Scone Palace, a stately Gothic style castle where many of Scotland’s most famous kings were crowned on the Stone of Scone, one of the country’s most important and ancient relics. Other important regional attractions include the likes of Loch Leven Castle, a partially ruined 14th century building located on an island in Loch Leven, and the Black Watch Monument in Aberfeldy.
