Very conveniently located near the metro station. The breakfast was not substantial, but the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was heavenly after being out in the hot sun all day! Shower stall was very small, but water flow was good.

We enjoyed our stay but beds were just so-so and the WiFi cut out a lot. Hotel was near restaurants and across from a metro stop

Dear Chad, Thank very much for having this feedback about our property and hope your nights were more so-so than the confort you experienced in the beds. Thus, we apologize for your Wi-Fi intermittence, note thaat this issue is less likely to happen know. Escpecially thank for pointing the location of the Palma, which is indeed a strengh. Sincerly,

Return Visit

Posted 21-Nov-2017
Pros: Simple with all the basic things done well. Particularly liked that checkout could be as late as noon with no pressure to leave the room early.
Cons: nothing significant
Location: Next to Gambetta on line 3 with easy access to everywhere. Walk to Pere Lachaise if you like graves of famous people or graveyards in general
I stayed here in May for a couple of nights and was happy to stay here again when I planned another trip to Paris in November. Reasonable price reflects the hotel being slightly out of the centre, but everywhere is easily accessible from Gambetta. I recommend getting a one-day travel card (moblis) and exploring the metro.

My Unfortunate Experience

Posted 31-Oct-2017 on Hotels
This hotel has good reviews and 3 stars but my experience unfortunately was not. The first room I was given smelled of smoke, including the bed sheets, and the underside of the quilt was stained yellow and the wool blanket had hairs stuck in it. I was moved to a new room and I discovered ants crawling on the floor! They were coming out of the tiny holes beneath the shower stall in the bathroom. I took videos and showed the man at the desk and he offered me a can of bug spray or the option of another new room (he showed me 2 available rooms) but at this point after 2 poor rooms I was very wary of what I would discover in room 3 so I chose to stay in the room with the ants for my first night. I said no to the bug spray because that shouldn't be sprayed in closed quarters and breathed in but I did get an extra bed sheet. In the morning the manager encouraged me to move to a new room and after discussing my hesitations I agreed to move. To be honest I didn't actually sleep in that room that 2nd night, I was able to stay with a friend who was in town so I can't say how the room was. I do think the bed linens and curtains should be updated and much closer attention to detail is needed when cleaning, but the staff were kind and understanding and prompt when I brought my concerns. They said that my experience was not the usual but they agreed that it was unfortunate for me. When I checked out the manager did give me a sweet Paris souvenir as a gift.

Good budget hotel

Posted 04-Oct-2017 on Hotels
Nice and clean, next to Gambetta station, 35-45 minutes by metro to Louvre or central Paris. Tiny room with no space for large suitcases, so open and close or you skip over luggages. Toilet is spacious and newly renovated. police station is loud so keep windows closed. Summer could be hot as aircon does not work. Was charged an additional €14.85 upon checkout for city taxes for 3 nights.

Nice clean area with easy access to transport

Posted 01-Jun-2017
Pros: Clean and safe.
Cons: The rooms could have been a bit bigger. With three beds there was no place to move.
Location: Very nice location and good access to transport.
The room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was nice. The hotel has very good access to public transport and a taxi line is very close by. Nice safe area.

Exactly what I expected

Exactly what I expected from a smaller hotel in Paris. All around good or better quality at a reasonable price. I was not disappointed. I would stay here again.

Excellent Position

Posted 22-Sep-2015
Pros: Staff, rooms, position near to many facilities a traveller needs.
Cons: Nothing, you get what you are paying for, if not more.
Location: Metro station, bus terminus, post office, police station, Macdonalds, bars and restaurants.
This hotel is excellent for the single or couple traveller(s). It is opposite a police station, post office and there are numerous bars in the nearby square where there is a metro station, bus terminus and Macdonalds. The staff are helpful. If you want to visit the Pere Lachaise Cemetery that is also close which is why I chose it. Full marks overall, the rooms are not luxurious but they are comfortable enough. I have stayed in lower price hotels in Paris in the past and had a terrible experience, not so here!

Not a bad choice

Posted 08-Aug-2015 on Hotels
Over all, the hotel was pretty decent. It was very close to pretty much everything. Subway was a block from the hotel, bus was right around the corner, so was the taxi station. Restaurants and stores were about 2 minutes walk from the hotel. It is located outside of the main Paris attractions, takes you about 35 - 40 minutes subway ride to get to Eiffel Tower and about 25 to 30 minutes to get the Notre Dame area. My only problem was that the rooms were pretty small. I guess because the previous hotels I stayed in during my EU trip were bigger. Cant really complain since I was in Paris and most of the residential accommodations are somewhat small and cramped.
