My room was not clean. And had no tv remote. Couldnt get anyone at the desk to help. Bugs in bathtub very unclean coffee maker and toilet. And night stand. Lots of dust. Booked a single bed room and is not what we got

IT WAS A NICE PLACE. THE BATHROOM COULD USE A DEEP CLEANING, AND THE DOORS WERE A STRUGGLE TO GET INTO, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GOOD. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN FOR SURE

We'll go back-great spot to walk the beach.
For $70 US it was a good deal. On the lake, our room had a view of the park next to the motel and a side-view of the lake also. It was warmed up for us. Key pad entry, no keys to handle. There must be some gaps for the wind to howl through - the wind sounded stronger than it actually was. But the comfort level was fine. Cleaner than another motel we have stayed at on the Lakeshore Drive.

As it is off season they are not operating reception. Which is fine but I was called and text all day while I was at work which I didn’t appreciate. They should update their listing that they only have self checkin. The building is dated, though they have tried to dress it up. The bed frame was creaky and the mattress felt well worn. I have very sensitive skin and the bedding was starchy and itchy for me as I think they use very heavy chemicals. Overall a cheap stay so I can’t complain too much

Our room was far from clean. Scooped hair out of shower for water to drain out. Horrible water stains, borderline mold bathroom ceiling. Baseboards in bathroom were dirty. Webs in corners of bedroom. Floor did not seem clean. Took photos. Room just seemed extremely neglected. Reception closed when we arrived and left, so was unable to report it. Great location. Unfortunate

The Spanish Viilla is run down. The room had no phone or clock. The office was almost always unstaffed witih a telephone number posted on the office door. The number connects to a maintenance-type gentleman who can't do anything about reservations or switching roroms, which my friend had to do. Thumbs down from me.

Prices going up, service and conditions rolling down. Nothing is maintained, no owners neither stuff don't care about anything. I booked 1 br apartment (sleeps 4). When I checked in:sand squeaked under my shoes, all mirrors with fingerprints. Instead of couple sets of towels (not mention 4sets) only1 bath towel with long black hair hanging on it. No teaspoons, only one fork which, definitely,had better times, no wine glasses. The tray for drying dishes is so filthy, it's disgusting to look at it not mention to put washed dishes.When I asked what about to clean room, I was told "they don't offer room service". ?? Are rooms supposed to be cleaned when people checking in? Then someone came to wipe mirrors, sprayed couple times and smeared all the spots evenly. The floor was last washed, probably, several years ago when they did renovation and changed carpet to hardwood. Later I tried to take shower (at least I had water, I heard some people complaining for not having water): when switching to shower - most water still were going down to the tub and only some drops from the shower: hot water were purring down burning my feet and cold water from the shower dropping on the head. You need some skills to get something out of it. Hair dryer stops working after 2-3 minutes from overheating. Fan in the bathroom, fridge, everything falls apart. My swimsuit was stolen after I put it late night drying on the chair near my room - by 7am it's gone. This happen the first time in 15 years.

Would not stay here again. Our bedsheets didn’t fit over mattress and kept falling off, our bare mattress was exposed and was brown. It looked and felt like it was 20 years old. The floor was dirty and our feet were always black even right out of the shower. Shower extremely inconsistent. It would go from boiling hot to ice cold. Impossible to enjoy your shower. The coffee machine literally tasted like mold. The coffee cups In the room were used and not been cleaned, No one comes to your room to clean during your stay so room was so filthy and nothing to clean up with. Chair was falling apart and held together with staples. Every room is Suppose to come with one parking spot, but guess what, there’s more rooms than parking spots. So after dinner when we arrived back to our motel, we had NO WHERE TO PARK. Place is run down and should be shut down. Can’t believe it cost $320 a night here. You’d think from how much they charge people they could invest in fixing up the place. Oh and there’s no one ever at the front desk. Only positive thing was the a/c worked and the location was fantastic. But there are other motels/hotels In the area that are priced the same and much better.

Absolutely disgusting
Check in and out was ridiculous. We had to contact he maintenance man to get into our room. Dont bother going to ask for anything, they dont care. The suite was too hot, the ac didnt accomadate the whole suite. Mold on the ceiling. Floors needed to be vaccumed and mopped, we had to wear our shoes the whole time. Garbage on the floor and it smelled terrible. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and the bedding was dirty. We lost power. This is the worst stay we've ever had. Will never return. Absolutely disgusting!

The room was comfortable and clean. The location is perfect, across the street from a beautiful beach, walking distance to groceries, parks and the movie theatre. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was a great place to stay. I would go back.

Close to beach, dining options and kids activities which was great. Room was not the cleanest….crumbs on nightstand upon arrival. Under beds looked like hadn’t been cleaned in a while. No hand towels-paper towel only (there were bath towels and facecloths however). Shouldn’t have pool mentioned at all in any of their ads since it is not usable.

Spanish villa is a great location, unfortunately ownership is either new to the hospitality industry or simply don’t care. The cleanliness of our 2 queen room with kitchenette was awful and we had to ask for dirty footprint marks to be removed from the walls, the bathroom cleaned especially behind the door where there was a MOUND of dirt, dust and sand. The kitchen is stocked VERY basic. We had 3 forks for a family of 4. There was never any room cleaning apart from what we did, no cleaners knocking on the door asking if we wanted our room done and we stayed for a week. This problem could be mitigated with cleaning supplies left in every room. Unfortunately our story is not unique as when neighbours on each side checked in we saw them go to management with the exact same complaints and threaten to leave if it wasn’t up to there standards after the room was requested to be cleaned. One family visiting from Iceland did just that, saw the room and refused to stay in it and booked elsewhere. Location GREAT! Cleanliness needs serious work.
