Portmeirion Village is perhaps the most famous attraction in the area, a unique and colourful destination. Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways, both historic narrow-gauge steam railways have stations in or near Minffordd. They offer scenic journeys through the stunning Snowdonia National Park, with breathtaking views of mountains, forests, and lakes. Harlech Castle, only a short drive away, Harlech Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it is situated high on a rock with commanding views over the surrounding landscape and the coastline. Borth-y-Gest is a charming coastal village, located a short distance from the cottage and boasts a sheltered harbour, sandy beach, and picturesque walks along the coast.
