"We really loved the restaurant food options for dinner and the included breakfast was also very good. We loved the wait staff (and the receptionist!). Everyone was very accommodating and pleasant. They have seating outside overlooking the beautiful view and have a few swings there, as well, that our teenage girls used non-stop while we were there. Really beautiful quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the more tourist filled La fortuna close by. We borrowed a TV and watched a movie together a couple of nights and enjoyed the hot tub and pool, as well! We really enjoyed our stay. "

"We were given a room that was full of mildew. When we turned on AC to help it too smelled of mold. When I spoke to manager she said previous person did not complain, which just tells me they have poor quality control. (And that she was dismissing my concern). My son started coughing due to conditions and we talked to front desk about checking out early. Turns out when we first arrived I signed a form allowing no early check outs. Just make sure you look at room before you sign their paperwork. After we complained they moved us to a room more in keeping with how the rooms were advertised. So I think we were given a room that had not been renovated yet. In short, I agree with some of the other reviews, motel quality and staff not very friendly. Also if healthy food important to you- be aware they have margarine not butter, not the freshest ingredients. I thought given price, I was paying for better quality that just wasn’t there. For additional context- the sheets were thin, had stains, and back porch had sewer smell. "

"We loved staying at Chachagua and would highly recommend it to anyone considering. The property is sprawling, with so much available onsite to enjoy. We took advantage of the coffee and chocolate tour, the cooking class, and the night tour on property. All were excellent. Additionally, Chachagua’s location is perfect for seeing Costa Rican wildlife. In less than 48 hours, we saw nearly everything we had only hoped we would see. The staff are friendly, the onsite guides are amazingly knowledgeable, and the quality of the hot springs are really nice. We also booked tours through the hotel that were in La Fortuna, \~30 minute drive. Those were also well coordinated and well communicated. We can’t say enough good things about our stay! "

"We loved our stay at these beautiful villas. The location is amazing because the property is in a quiet fruit orchard away from the busy main town. The views out the windows are spectacular in every direction. It is a gated area, so our family of four felt very safe. Inside, the villa was perfectly clean and had everything we needed, including plenty of towels and bathroom supplies. The kitchen was also great, with lots of coffee, salt, sugar, an amazing huge fridge freezer with an icemaker, and lots of tools for cooking. The air conditioning worked very well, keeping us cool and comfortable. We especially enjoyed having our own private pool right in front of the villa. Our host was wonderful and always replied very quickly with clear messages. We had a very relaxing stay and highly recommend this property to others."
