"From check In to check out it was an amazing experience. We were there to visit San Francisco and San Jose, the location was a perfect midway point between the two cities. The room/lodge itself was clean. We found the beds very soft and comfortable. The shower was hot. The pool/hot tub were great especially after walking so much (Alcatraz, lol). The staff was incredible! I don't know if I will be able to write it correctly, to do them justice. Very welcoming, great suggestions for area restaurants/events, professional and authentic. For example, I requested an extra blanket. When housekeeping came up in less than 5 minutes, he had options to make sure I was all set. It was really the small things that seemed to set this hotel apart from others. We would stay here again without hesitation. "

"The host was very welcoming. She had a nice surprise waiting for us in the fridge on arrival. She was easy to reach and very friendly. The house is very nice. The kitchen was well equipped. The house was clean and smelled clean. The washrooms were clean. There were lots of towels and beach towels. The backyard was nice, with a table, chairs and a firepit. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet. The beach is an 8 minute walk, but you cannot swim there because of the riptides. Still, beautiful sunset. The beds were comfortable. Extra bedding/covers were available if needed. Highly recommend this house.We were about 45 minutes from downtown San Fran, depnding on traffic in San Fran. We were about 35 minutes from San Jose depending on traffic too. But, it was nice to be on the coast. The drive up to San Fran along the coast is beautiful. "

"Fabulous location! Easy walk to downtown. Spent one day hiking in the redwoods, coming back to the house for lunch and then off to the Fitzpatrick Marine Reserve for tidepooling! All within a 20 minute drive. After picking up dinner and bringing it back to the house, we walk into town for some amazing gelato. The home has all you need for a great experience in Half Moon Bay. "
