We only stayed one night here en route to the Napa Valley. I wasn't able to book anything other than a Queen room online but the front desk check in clerk was able to put us into a deluxe King room with a fireplace for the same price. The room was comfortable and spacious. We didn't light the fire or use the jacuzzi tub but they were nice additions to the room. There was a strong sulfur smell which we learned was from the natural mineral springs. I guess there was nothing to be done to fix that.
Our room was a good size and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was also good and included eggs, sausage, toast and waffles. It was a little noisy in the hallway the first night because our room wasn't to far from the elevator, but we would definitely stay there again.
Our second stay at the Oaks, and once again a great experience. I actually hate to recommend this place, as it will result in too many people knowing about it and making it harder for me to get a future reservation! LOL But, it's just so good and the staff incredible!
Nice Hotel for the price. Modern and clean! Location was perfect for downtown dining and close proximity to great winery's. Definitely recommend both Eberle Winery (take the cave tour) and Tobin James Cellars for wine tasting. These were both recommended by the front desk. The staff was very friendly and eager to assist with any requests or information we had. We will definitely stay again in the future. Also, the hotel is a 30 minute drive from Hearst Castle.

The room is comfortable, but not worth more than all other hotels in the area. The only plus was the jetted tub. The room itself is as good as Best Western's rooms. The Enoteca restaurant is really good. My wife and I had breakfast and dinner there. Both were good. The pork chop is great.
We went wine tasting on the Wrangler tour. We had a great time. Got really drunk, so it was really nice to have someone drive you back to the room.
Paso Robles overall is a great place to visit if you are in to site-seeing and wine tasting.
Oak woodlands, gentle hills, and thermal waters are the hallmarks of this town at the southern tip of the Lost Coast. Half-way between San Francisco and LA on HWY 101, Paso Robles has been long known as a place of rest and recuperation. Visitors come to stay in the naturally heated hotel spas and tour the many Salinas Valley wineries. The town also hosts the California Mid-State Fair each July.
