"Melia Purosani Yogyakarta is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location, within walking distance of Malioboro Street. The lobby is elegant and makes a great first impression. Our stay started with having to wait more than 40 minutes for our room despite arriving after the official check-in time. Once we got the room, we found it spacious and comfortable. However, some housekeeping details were overlooked, including missing hand towels and a bathroom that did not meet our expectations for a five-star hotel. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. However, when we started ordering, we were told that several menu items were unavailable. The available dishes we ordered were very disappointing in terms of flavor, quality, and value for money. Considering the hotel's reputation, we expected a much better dining experience. Breakfast was better, offering a good variety of local and international options, including an egg station and fresh fruit. The staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, Melia Purosani has a beautiful property, spacious rooms, and a prime location, but improvements in housekeeping and restaurant quality would better align it with five-star standards."

"If you’re looking for a home away hotel then this place is for you with a bonus swimming pool. You’re allowed to use the kitchen and do self service all day just like at home. The place is really nice, clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to Alun - alun Kidul which is surprisingly comes to life at night along with all of local night entertainment and street vendors. Also walking distance to the viral Pasar Ngasem, a market where you can get local Yogyakarta food and more."

"Very nice, extremely friendly and helpful, small, homestay-style place with only 4 rooms and a communal kitchen. It’s run by a woman named Irta who speaks very good English. It’s within walking distance to the main sights of central Yogyakarta, but it’s on a small side street which makes it reasonably quiet at night. (Central Yogyakarta is never completely quiet). Irta is extremely helpful. They serve breakfast if you want it. They have hot showers and cold ac. I can highly recommend it if you’re looking for a quiet, simple, economic place near the center of town."
