Overnight stay in Calais

Posted 05-Jan-2016
Pros: The rooms may not be to everyones tastes though include all the facilities you need including a microwave, Coffee machine and wi-fi that works!
Cons: Cannot immediately think of anything.
Location: It is an ideal location for access to the Channel Tunnel and Cite de Europe shopping which is a literally stone's throw away.
This was our second stay at the Novotel Suites since we found our first stay most enjoyable. The hotel staff have always been helpful too. Importantly, the hotel has good non-chargeable parking facilities.

annual outing!

Posted 23-Nov-2015
Pros: Location
Location: Next to the Cite d'Europe and 5-10 minutes away from the shuttle. We weren't there long but had a ride up the coast to St Valery sur somme.
Just a quick trip - over on the shuttle one day and back the next. so convenient for shopping at Cite d'Europe. We checked in what we thought was early but were upgraded to executive suite as our room wasn't ready!

Good first stop in Europe

Posted 28-Oct-2015 on Hotels
This is my favourite first stop hotel for European trips. There is no retaraunt but there is a massive choice of places to eat directly opposite the hotel in the huge shopping complex. The free movies are a huge bonus, but, for the 2nd time in a row, they didn't work, niether did the TV internet. The carpark is fenced and one floor of the hotel is permanently occupied by the french police, as is part of the carpark, so your vehicle will be safe.

Trop chaud dans la chambre !

Posted 24-Oct-2015

An altogether fine place to stay

Posted 21-Oct-2015 on Hotels
We were very impressed by the 'finish' of this hotel. The Nespresso coffee maker, the complimentary toiletries etc. The Receptionist was exceedingly welcoming and friendly and the third bed was made up when we arrived. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and it was altogether a fine overnight stay before catching an early tunnel crossing the next morning

Very disapointing

Posted 15-Oct-2015 on Hotels
There are no restaurant facilities here requiring a visit to the 'Cite de Europe' where the food is poor quality fast food. The WiFi showed a strong signal but didn't work Reception staff nearly abrupt
