We liked that it was not in the hustle and bustle of town but close enough that we could hop on the transit system and have access to all of these things. The upstairs and the downstairs bathroom didn’t flush and the bedroom’s downstairs were freezing cold! The upstairs bed mattress is not comfortable and needs to be replaced. We loved how easy it was to walk to and from Deer Valley base. We also walked into Park City a few times (15-20 min). Also there is a bus stop right outside the condo. Super convenient. It was also nice that the pantry had some “staples” already there - spices, oil and vinegar, hot chocolate etc. It is also right next door to Deer Valley Plaza which has a nice cafe for breakfast and lunch. We were pleased with Vacasa’s service as well. The first day we didn’t have any hot water. They immediately sent over a plumber and fixed the problem. The next day one of the toilets was clogged and they sent another plumber that evening. Three issues critical to a VRBO vacay: 1) Ease of entry: This was a nightmare. We had repeatedly communicated to the property manager that we needed to get in the property early in the day, as we arrived in SLC at 8:00am, and hadn't planned on renting a car (see #3). However, when on the day prior to our arrival, we were told that the owners would not allow us early check-in, we had no choice to rent a car when we arrived (last minute, SUV necessary, spring break, cha-ching$$). This was especially annoying when we later found the itinery of guests the week prior which they had left pinned to the fridge stating that they had early check-in at noon. 2) The condo was old and not clean. The towels had been folded and put away (under the bathroom sinks) DAMP and had to be re-washed...the entire condo smelled like bacon...the dishwasher looked new-ish but every single dish we went to use needed re-washing....the carpet, bedding, furniture were outdated and/or worn...and the supplies were limited (paper good, soaps, cleaners, detergents). I ended up having to buy everything, including candals. 3) The location was awesome, with a shuttle coming by every 15 minutes taking us directly to the base of Deer Valley. Overall, the unit was below average, but what really made it terrible was Vacasa's inability to communicate or fix issues. So much went wrong, and they have still not reached out after I have contacted them numerous times. Learn from my mistake - avoid this unit and run away from anything managed by Vacasa. THE BAD: 1\. READ THE VACASA REVIEWS: Utah Vacation Rentals by Vacasa = 2 STARS | Park City Vacations and Ski Condos by Vacasa 3.5 STARS. I did not read these before booking and I wish I did! 2\. No Hot Water: Hot water heater went out multiple times during our stay and they never came to fix it. They have a 10+ year unit that does not look like it has been serviced since 2017\. Instead of having someone come out, they asked me to try and get the pilot back on multiple times but it would simply fail within 1-2 hours. By the time we left, we did not have hot water for 24+ hours. 3\. Incorrect Shuttle Instructions: The Deer Valley shuttle is a huge + for this condo. They have instructions downstairs telling you to call one number, and they also have a different number for you to call on the Vacasa app. One is a dead line and the other is the wrong number! I tried to get help via the Vacasa chat and they replied "not our service, can't help". 4\. Dangerous Flooring: Transition between kitchen and living room had loose screws - it had likely been that way for ##### Jake h. The location of the condo is great—especially if you want to ski Deer Valley since it’s an easy 10-min walk to snow park. It’s also right on the bus line so you can take that to Deer Valley, Main Street, and Park City Mountain. The management company was great too. Super easy to book. Easy to find and get into the property. The property was very clean and ready to go when we arrived. Plus, we received an early check-in. The property had a nice open layout with plenty of room for the 4 of us. Bonus was they had a bunch of games that we played as a family. The condo was good sized and each of our three girls had their own room. It was well appointed and others had left little things like olive oil and spices which was nice. The only slight negative, I thought the cleaning group could have done a better job. They left dishes in the dishwasher and rags in the dryer.
