Noisy and Uncomfortable
This hostel is super tiny. It looks like they out 3 beds as bunks together, so the top bunk is super high towards the ceiling. There's also a very small shower in the room. I did receive a message beforehand that there was about 122 steps of stairs to walk up. The only thing I liked was the customer service. Also, no air conditioning, so the window was left open. It was constantly noisy.

staff very friendly ,grate price for backpackers .just take care walking around alone had a bit of trouble outside the metro early in the morning (nothing to do with the hostel)

The staff was friendly, but that was the end of the good stuff. The room smelled heavily of BO, the bed smelled like piss. This is only a place to stay if you are desperate.

Extremely abusive hostel. Unsafe.
I have to start out by saying alot of the staff were utter sweethearts during my stay. They were cordial, respectful and tried really hard to help me out. Especoalky after i had my pursevstolen my first night immediatly after checkin. That being said this is a criminal environment addled with toxic masculinity. I was literalky robbed beaten and I think raped a bit during my stay at peace and love. Half the amenities they claim on the listing / website dobt exist. And the bar is filled with drug dealers and thugs who are constantly trying bully you out of there. Bullying is rampant throughout the hostel and I was verbally abused constantly by staff and other guests. Who also menaced violence as well as tampering with my food. For 25 bucks though you get a view of the canal. And the place is cleaned asidiously by staff everyday. Somebof whom do try hard to be welcoming and be protective of guests. Dont stay here if your asolo female or lgbt. If your a straight guy, go right ahead and use the safe for everything. Just be prepared for alot of toxic mascinity and childish trashtalking.

If you want bed bugs & to be robbed - stay here!!!
I wish I took photos!! The place is disgusting. Toilets never cleaned. Blankets are never cleaned. Also random people come into the rooms and steal your things while you are sleeping. If you want to ruin your trip, stay here. Otherwise, dont! The day receptionist doesn’t even know the number to call the police if you need help. They have no security either. And the area is not safe in general. The toilets are not cleaned. The floors are dirty and they give access to all the rooms without checking any identification. The cameras at the venue don’t work. The blankets smell like piss. The cleaner sleeps in the shared rooms so they have access to your belongings and suitcases - things you cannot fit in the lockers. The receptionist plans robberies so be very careful. Go to Christopher’s Inn if you are on a budget and need a cheap place to stay - they have 24 hour security. You cannot access the building at all without a pass let alone a room. At peace&love, the door is open, even to the homeless. I wouldn’t be surprised if you others have been stabbed here. That’s how dangerous it is. I’ve met other guests who have also been robbed or attempted robbery and the day receptionist plans it so he will not assist you in any way- even though he has access to I.D all guests staying at the hostel. He should be fired because he doesn’t have common sense, know the police number and won’t help you in any way as he plans all the robberies inside.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! It’s disgusting and not safe!!!
TERRIBLE’ Do not stay here! The area is not safe in general and no police, but neither is inside the hostel!Does matter if you have a private or shared room. There is no security, they allow anyone and everyone inside. They allow people into any room without checking identification or if it’s their room. Additionally, my phone, I.D and credit cards were stolen while I was asleep! The day receptionist refused to assist and took no responsibility - when I requested to call the police, he said he didn’t know the number. Very unprofessional and pathetic. The staff plan robberies within the hostel. When I told another hostel guest what happened, the reception said he will call the police on me.. when I’ve been asking for the police to come and check the cameras for 1 hour. The Colombian receptionist ( I come from a Colombian family, so this is not racist, only so the owner of the hostel knows who this staff member is)knew exactly WHO this person was and refused to call the police and hand over the details of this criminal as they checked out 1 hour before stealing my belongings & other guests too. Also the cleanliness is very poor.I watched the cleaner throw the blankets for the beds on the floor to change the bottom sheets then replace the dirty blankets back on the beds. It’s actually disgusting!! The blankets on the bed smell like vomit. Although the rooms have their own bathrooms, they are not cleaned either. The safes are not reliable and staff can easily open them as well.

Major safety concern. Very bad area. A guy grabbed my neck and pulled my gold chain. There were around 10 people at the bar watching. Inspire of me yelling for help and requesting to call police, no one helped. I ran away from him and called the police myself. 3 cops came and we drove around looking for that guy (who ran away by then). I filed a police complaint. I was able to take a picture of that guy before he ran away. Some people at the front desk are not trust worthy. But some are nice. Manuella was very nice and helpful. It’s a very inexpensive hostel. The area is convenient. But don’t expect too much. Be very careful especially at night.

Private room with a view
Nice hostel with great connections to metro. Some nice weekend entertainment very close. In the private room was also private bathroom. The spiral stairs are only way to rooms. The shower glass door entry is very narrow , a larger person would not be able to fit through. Nice double window looking at the canal. Overall very pleasant

Well lets start with the never ending staircase to everything. People this is Paris so expect this in most places yeah. But still I always got dizzy when finally got downstairs Lol. The 3 bedroom bunkbed rooms were tiny and having 3 other people in them was a challenge to say the least. I got there on a Friday night and the noise with emergency services and revelers made for not much sleep. The night receptionist was super helpful and very friendly and full kudos for all things he did with 100% passion. I liked the ambiance of the bar and watching the world go by. Beers at a pint were a good price. At the end of the day this place is not for everyone. It is in an area that has a low socio-economic background. So homeless are everywhere. I have lived most places in South-east Asia. So wasn't an issue with me.

Nice place to stay if you’re not too picky. The room was great and had a great view. Comfortable bed and was quiet and peaceful. Shower was a little small. The only negative I recall is that there was no elevator and I had to walk up 8 flights of stairs, with luggage. Bar is not as big or frequented and the hall smelled like urine

Small rooms, no elevator but well connected.
I stayed in a single room with a private bathroom. while the room was OK (slightly small), the fact that this place does not have an elevator is sad. the bathroom was small but clean and there was a heater as well. a small cupboard would have helped. For the amenities provided this place is on the expensive side. Great connectivity to the metro as the Juares metro station is walking distance.

The hostel! It’s 14 metro station away from the Arc! There is a bar at the entrace, the stuff is not that friendly! They are not helpful at all!! Clean (I would say clean Yes, but could be better) the toilet and shower are inside the room, complety Disaster! The zone is not that safe! Look for another hostel! Paris is so big; so you must have a central hostel to take advantage of all

Pretty cool place, they have a full bar in the bottom floor which was very cool. The kitchen was also incredibly nice, however would not stay if you’re a bigger person. I’m 6ft 230 and pretty muscular not even fat, but I could barely fit in the amenities. I had to squeeze into the shower and do some acrobatics to get into the bed.

I arrived at late night, check-in was ok. When I entered the room someone else was on my bed. This facility doesn't have an elevetor but very narrow stairs, it was a nightmare for me. Room was extremely small, no standing space. The shower space was very small too that I couldn't take shower. The bunk beds are quite bed, if anyone moves while sleeping everyone will feel the movement. Beds were not stable. The 3rd top bed was only 2 ft from the ceiling that I couldn't sit on my bed. Total horrible experience.

Great double room for one. Comfy with great view. Small bathroom but doable. No elevator and you have to take your own luggage up small spiral staircase!

NO AIR CONDITIONING! Inside a bar. Kind of dirty floor. Hairs under pillow. Rumors of bed bugs but we didn't get bites. Staff said they sprayed all the rooms for bed bugs last week. No bathroom soap- had to use their shower gel. It's near a couple metro stops and cheap. Glass of "lobby" is shattered--by a gun? Lots of beggars and squatters in tents live next to the hostel.

Story about BURGLARS
Keep reading this to end. I stayed in this hostel for one night. On 4th March, in morning, I found out my laptop and my cash, my debit card and passport were stolen. I told to manager at reception, he said ‘you have to put your stuff in locker, sorry’. He upstairs to my room, room 11, checked lockers and room as well. He said, “check your bag again, if you lost your passport, it could be a problem. Your passport might be in your bag.” I trusted him so that I checked my bag, GUESS WHAT? MY PASSPORT WAS IN EXTRA POCKET ,I’VE NEVER USED BEFORE, IN MY BAG. At downstairs, he said leave the hostel right now. YES, THAT’S WHAT I WANTED TO DO AS WELL. On 5th March, I went to Police station and reported everything at there. I hope you can notice what I want to say. I hope nobody to experience like this. I hope this FACT spread as much as possible. Thank you.
