Good centrally located hotel

Posted 26-Jan-2017
Comfortable bed, good size room (especially for Paris) Quiet enough for me (and I am a light sleeper) Safe was broken and never got fixed during my stay so that was a bit inconvenient. Overall a good choice which I would select again.

Historical Hotel but in need of a Major Renovation

Posted 17-Jan-2017
Pros: Close to the Opera
Cons: A major renovation to preserve the historical beauty of this gem would be greatly appreciated.
Location: Near the Opera and not too far from the Louvre and main metro lines.
Convenient hotel close to the Opera and several Metro lines but rooms are rather small and outdated. Bathroom has extremely hot water so that was great for this 2 degree weather but the room was also extremely hot even when we turned off the heater. Had to crack the window a tad. Much more affordable than the W and the Intercontinental Hotel I stayed at in Paris, around half the price, but definitely without the luxury of those hotels as well. If you want wine glasses, plates and silverware, they won't bring them up to the room, you have to go down to the bar and get them from a waiter. Also since it's an older hotel, there was a couple creepy instances we noticed but nothing major if you're into a bit of Parisian nostalgia. The bar area is pretty though and reminds me of the Overlook Hotel if you know what I'm saying.

Very good location

This is an outstanding location. The property is a bit dated but the location and the restaurants in the immediate area are outstanding. I would recommend this to everyone if you like to walk to the Louvre or the museum Dorsay

Great location in traditional Parisienne style

Posted 06-Dec-2016
Pros: Traditional style, clean.
Location: Right by the metro station, east walk to the department stores.
Great base for shopping pre-Christmas with a friend. Lovely traditional style and decor. This is not a carbon copy beige box hotel. Very clean, friendly staff. Lots of local restaurants to walk to.
