The hotel was beautiful and very comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. The area is my new favorite and I will definitely stay here again. Close to the metro and many sights. Amazing restaurants in this area also.

Beautiful rooms. We travelled with 2 kids, and the twin beds in their own room was so convenient and cute. Staff was wonderful, and rooms were kept clean every time we asked. Highly recommend.

Great location on a quiet street. The hotel was nicely renovated and very clean/comfortable. Helpful staff. We were 3 adults staying in the family suite and it was a good size by city standards - would definitely book here again.

The service is great and staffs are very friendly. Chilid friendly place. The room is clean and spacious. Breakfast is great. The hotel is well located and situated with walking distance to transportation station.

Very nice small hotel, great location close to metro and buses, yet quietly tucked away on a cul de sac. Staff very friendly and helpful. Daily cleaning of room done to high standard. Breakfast is brought to your room- nice novelty but does get repetitive after couple of days (limited options) and difficult to eat in room as not much space!

Staff were very friendly but the hotel is very dated and offers no amenities even down to the supposed mini bar. There is a cupboard where the fridge should be but no fridge. The room is described as room with a city view which amounted to the very top of the Eiffel Tower between the apartments opposite.

Property is in a nice area of town, within walking distances to several places & sights. But English channels on the TV were not available, & the bath tub would not hold water. Otherwise, a cute property. But there are lots of hotels in the same area.

I knew to expect a smaller room than my normal hotel stays, so the fact that the room was small wasnt the problem. The problem was the tub/shower & sink drainage. It was extremely slow. By the end of our stay we had water in our sink for over 2 dsys that had not drained....😖 Also the sauna was not working so I had no amenities to enjoy while there....

Conveniently located.
Very convenient for Gare du Nord. 3 stops direct. A number of great cafe’s nearby, as well as the beautiful Jardins des Luxembourg .

This place is very very run down. It’s smelled oddly of lamb. Cracks in tub and sink. Very small. Marks on the walls. Stained curtains. Not as advertised and will never stay here or recommend this place.

A "sympa" hotel near the Parc du Luxembourg
The hotel is very well located, across the street from the Luxembourg Parc and just a block from the RER B that goes to both Charles de Gaulle airport and Orly. My room was small but comfortable with an excellent bed. It was quiet since it looked out on the courtyard. But there was no real desk and few outlets, impractical for work. The staff was very nice and helpful. I skipped the expensive breakfast and preferred the many bakeries and cafés of the neighborhood. The hotel could use a face lift, especially the paint and curtains.It's not a luxury hotel (though the room air conditioning worked well during the heat wave that hit Paris during my stay) but serviceable and pleasant.

Needs an upgrade in attention...
The location is all there is to talk about. It is great. June in Paris is typically expensive, so we know we would not be receiving a 4-5 star hotel. That said, the furniture was old and dated. The mini fridge was not there, but who cares about a mini fridge?? Except that there was not enough room in the place to put your luggage, so why is the built-in mini fridge without a fridge still there taking up space. Our television didn’t work, and no one addressed it when asked. The bathroom had no products other than soap and shampoo. I know that’s all that’s required, but just another point of nothing above the bare minimum. The final night of our trip, the weather was particularly hot, and the AC had no effect on cooling the room. Thankfully our flight was very early, so we didn’t have to sleep much. I hate writing poor reviews, and the staff was kind, but I feel this was a poor decision and will undoubtedly not be staying here again. With a bit of care, this could have been a great, great stay.

Typical central Paris small hotel with lots of character. Comfortable, friendly staff and a good breakfast. Central location close to buses and metro stations was perfect for us with plenty of choice for eating out on the doorstep in the Latin Quarter. I’d book again.

This hotel is truly an extreme security risk. I checked into this hotel. I then ran down to the Metro station to meet my son. Gone twenty minutes. When I returned someone had been in my room and through my bags. I had $1,100 (Euro) stolen. I tried for three days to get straight answers from the staff. Their only response was that I did not put my valuables in the safe. Well, of course, I wish I had! That said, they would not provide me with the names of their staff that had access to the room. They would not explain how this may have happened. I got zero cooperation. No help! The big security issue here is they only have keyed entry to your room. The key chain has the room number on it. So if the key ends up in the wrong hands it is easy to know your room number and gain access. The hotel claims that all guests have their rooms secured if they turn their key in each time they leave the hotel. Unfortunately, your key is tossed into a open mail slot behind the desk attendant. This sounds secure, but at multiple times I returned to the front desk area where no attendant was behind the desk. Keys were left unattended and not secure. This hotel also has an emergency fire escape that runs to each floor. Great in the event of an emergency. Yet the doors to the outdoor fire exits were constantly open to the outdoors. A big security risk. Sadly, Expedia does not accept photos here, as I have photos of the open doors and unattended front desk. I will not ever return!

Loved our stay
I believe the hotel is rated 3 stars and that seems right. We had a great experience and to a large extent it was the very pleasant and helpful assistance provided by Daniella the receptionist. This hotel is a small older property but in good shape and very well located.

excellent choice in a great town
I was very happy to enjoy a night here at the Grand Hotel Luxembourg Bayeux. The location and service are both excellent and the amenities also merit recommendation. Close to shopping, restaurants, and just a few blocks from the Tapestry Museum and the Cathedral. Service is friendly and professional with good command of English. I requested an ice bucket for a bottle of Champagne and it was delivered in less than 10 mins. to my room. The rooms are comfortable and updated. The jacuzzi and saltwater pool also are a nice perk and pretty rare for an independent hotel in a medium-sized town. Altogether I highly recommend this property.
