good location for sites

Posted 30-Jan-2018
Pros: The young lady at the front desk from Portugal (Sonia I think was her name),,,,location was good
Cons: If you read above than I'll say no more, (safety of customer belongings)
Location: lot's of things to see close by
Stay was great , end not so much,, we left our bag's for a few hours after check out due to a later train and somebody stole item's out of our bag while in Hotels' care. It was make-up and some costume jewelry,,The young lady from Portugal at the front desk our first few day's was a delight and over achieved at her job, but she was not there on our last day. The room and other area's of the Hotel where fine but if your things are not safe with the staff then what can be said. The manager needs to take a close look at the staff from this day.

Best location and very honest service!

Posted 20-Jan-2018
Pros: Location, large room and bathroom, clean and friendly staff, and they even had gluten free items for breakfast!
Cons: Nothing I can think of
Location: The Louvre, Pont Neuf, Les Halles, Beaubourg.... and so much more... walking distance
We chose this hotel for its location. We could not have been in a better place for our goals for this trip in Paris. When we checked out at 6 am, there were a couple of charges that we did not recognized. But our card was already charges and our taxi was waiting. So the gentleman at the reception told us we will be receiving a credit for the questioned charges. And we did! No need to call, email them or anything to make sure it was done... they just did it... thank you! We sincerely appreciate it.

Nice hotel in a convenient location.

Posted 08-Jan-2018
Pros: Location is good.
Cons: Remodel the lobby/cafe and make Food and Beverage a major focus. Need new pillows!
Location: Louvre, Musee D'Orse, shopping/food in the Marais. Too many great things to list.
The hotel staff could not have been nicer and the location is very good. We actually left this hotel early and moved to a new location deciding to just eat the cost of the expense and pay for another hotel. We moved to the Hoxton which was incredible. Our issue was the lack of a real hotel lobby area. I was in Paris for 8 days with my wife and 3 daughters ages 18, 21 and 24. In the morning, after a long day of walking around Paris or at the end of the evening it's nice to be able to relax in a really nice environment. The lobby of the hotel was just not my style. Feels dated and a bit 1980's. If I owned this Hotel I would invest in making this small area really amazing with incredible F&B. I would open the main cafe room up to the street with sidewalk cafe tables so reminiscent of Paris. The rooms nor there lobby area are conducive to relaxing. They could keep the modern 80's decor in the rooms but ditch it in the lobby or really upgrade it to a very modern clean look. Pour a few craft cocktails and have an excellent small wine list. All this being said, I wish there was a button for maybe when asked if you would recommend. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and all your time on the streets of Paris then this is a solid choice. They have a really nice staff!

It was a good stay. Found the staff very friendly and helpful. It is a great location up the street from the Louvre. Room was small but that is to be expected for area of Paris.

My favorite hotel in Paris

Have stayed at L'Empire 3x. Excellent every time. Service is perfect. The rooms and comfort very high and I enjoy breakfast and the location as well. Can't recommend it more highly. Good for solo visits, or couples work or play. The Louvre is 5 minutes and great restaurants everywhere.

Perfect location, great service, staff and rooms

Posted 09-Nov-2017 on Hotels
I stayed at LEmpire Paris for 4 nights with my dad. Booked a superior room and got a superior room with 2 beds, was perfect. The check in staff was extremely efficient. The hotel is just one block away from the the Louvre museum and also 1 block from 2 metro stations. There was an abundant of restaurant choices around the area. The location of the hotel is perfect. The hotel also supplied a android device for free portable data & phone call service to USA for traveling purposes. It was great, I took it out with me and used google map to explore the city. The room was large. It was my 4th time to Paris and this was the most comfortable stay, beds was nice, the room was very clean, modern, sleek and amenities were great. The bathroom was huge with 2 sinks and a walk in shower, good for elderly people like my dad. Had a mini patio view, it was nice and quiet even though we were on the main floor of the hotel. Breakfast was absolutely very wonderful! Had a great selection of pastries, hot food and also, meats, cheese, yogurt, and fruit! Not to mention, coffee, speciality/ teas, juices. Also, had umbrellas to borrow for the rainy weather. The hotel staff very friendly, spoke english well, and very helpful in everyday. It was a nice boutique hotel under great management. I will definitely go back again. I can't wait, actually. I recommend this hotel to first time travelers to Paris and you will not be disappointed.

Great location

Posted 07-Nov-2017
Pros: location, staff, breakfast.
Cons: Proper King size beds.
Location: Very close to the Louvre . Nice areas to walk alongside The Seine or through the gardens of theTuleries. Many nice bars and restaurants close by.
Great location in central Paris, close to Metro. Staff excellent , very helpful and extremely friendly. Rooms nicely appointed only let down by two single beds pushed together to make a 'King ' size. Buffet breakfast area beautifully laid out in the morning with a good choice food.

Nice little hotel close to Louvre

Posted 05-Nov-2017
Pros: Very friendly and attentive staff. Management decided to hire staff to mitigate other shortfalls
Cons: Run down feel of the hotel, it is clear that the property is poorly maintained. Lifts break down, bathrooms dont have enough hooks to hang stuff on
Location: Visit Louvre and surroundings, that's about it.
I stayed there over a weekend - not a bad choice but probably overpriced for the quality - you pay for the location.

Great stay, great location, friendly staff

Great stay! We requested an early check in and they were able to have us in our room within 30 minutes after we arrived at the hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The room was cozy, comfortable and elegant. I really liked the old, well-kept hardwood floors. We were given a free upgrade to a room with a terrace, which was quite large. It was wonderful to have breakfast there every morning. Close to Louvre-Rivoli metro stop. Great bakery close by, Boulangerie Julien. One interesting feature was the android phone that comes with the room. Unlimited calls (can't remember if international was included, didn't use for that), unlimited data. It was very handy and I recommend it if available. Only complaint is the bathroom layout. Nothing terrible, mind you, but there's no curtain or door on the shower and so easy to spray water everywhere. Also, the bathmat makes the door hard to open. Small things, but they did bother me. A/C system not the most straightforward or user friendly, but the staff helped us and we figured it out Overall, excellent stay and I highly recommend it.
