Convenient hotel close to Eurostar station

Posted 22-Aug-2016
Pros: Proximity to Eurostar.
Cons: See above
Location: The general ambience of the area has declined and the hotel locked the front doors early evening which had not happened before. A sign of the times?
I have stayed at the Parisiana every time I have visited Paris in the last twenty years. Visiting every two or three years I have brought groups of friends and relatives, from 2 to 10 people. This visit marked a change. All I ever asked was a clean, simple hotel offering a good breakfast. This time there was no soap in the bathroom!! A 3 star hotel with no soap? The shower gel bottle, securely fastened to the wall, steadfastly remained empty the whole time. Perhaps I could manage without that, but no tiny bar of soap? Yes the towels were changed every day and I think the "green" way adopted by some hotels would suffice, could be used. We don't need 6 clean towels every day...but we do need a bit of soap! Breakfast? Not a patch on my last visit. Mini bite sized pain chocolate and croissants and not many of those. When in France I want big, buttery croissants!! The kitchen staff were not very forthcoming on the subject either. Result, the rest of our days we ate at a nearby cafe providing a great French breakfast and at a lower price. Disappointed, very disappointed. I recommended this hotel BECAUSE of its good, comprehensive breakfast.

stedentrip Parijs

Posted 11-Aug-2016

Adequate

Posted 31-Jul-2016
Pros: Nice restuarants/cafes nearby and hotel itself is on a nice street.
Cons: Communication upon check in (front desk situation with locking door when unattended) / making sure visitors are put in right room / a security safe
Location: Near main train stations/cafes and restaurants/Only a 35 min walk to river and main city centre attractions.
The location of this hotel is handy for the Gare du Nord and the Gare de l'est/nice restaurants/cafes. It's also tucked away on a nice, quiet street which is a luxury in Paris. However, the hotel itself wasn't quite up to scratch (and I/my partner are not particularly picky). We had to change our room 3 times upon arrival. We booked a double standard room - 1st room: just a single bed, 2nd room: had mould on the wall!, 3rd room: adequate and comfortable - nice bed/bathroom, however no security safe in the room which should really be standard. Whilst the member of staff on reception did all that they could to help us with the room changeovers, it did not make a good first impression. Similarly, due to there only being 1 member of staff on the front desk, they have to lock the front door when they need to attend to something else within the hotel. When myself and my partner came back from a night out we worrying had to ring the bell for a good 5 minutes before somebody came to let us in! Again, I am not blaiming any specific members of staff, it would just maybe be an idea to let guests know about front desk situation when they are checking in. Further to this, throughout the 6 nights we stayed there, we were not given more shampoo/had to go to reception to ask for towels and toilet paper - not refreshed daily. Overall, this hotel was a little disappointing. However if you're wanting something near good transport links for a couple of nights, it would be adequat

Nice hotel

Posted 29-Jul-2016
I would recomend this hotel to those people who are looking for something simple but at the same time a good, comfortable and not very expensive. What I liked the most about this hotel is how close is to the main transport areas as it is close to the metro, also it is not that far from the main touristic places. The customer service was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely come back again!

Sehr heruntergekommene Lage.

Posted 18-Jul-2016

Dear Tamara, Thank you for your comment about our Hotel Parisiana 3*. We have very quiet rooms, it is just a shame you did not ask to move in one of those rooms. The surroundings of the hotel are very safe, there is even a police station in the street ! We hope to welcome you again for your next visit in Paris All the best

Good for a short stay

Posted 04-Jun-2016
10 minutes from several tube stations. Lots of restaurants around. Staff was great. Even printed tickets for us. We had one of the larger room. We slept very well. Was really quiet. Large bed was firm as we like it. Air con, hair drier, extra pillows. Be aware there was no kettle (there's a few bakeries around for breakfast and the hotel offers breakfast though) Bathroom decent size although getting into shower could be tricky for larger framed guests. Wifi was decent quality. Would happily stay there again.

Wij hebben hier echt alleen geslapen en gedouched. Verder zijn wij alleen maar Parijs doorgelopen. Het is een prima hotel, zacht bed prima badkamer. Wij hebben het hier goed gehad!
