Convenient hotel close to Eurostar station
I have stayed at the Parisiana every time I have visited Paris in the last twenty years. Visiting every two or three years I have brought groups of friends and relatives, from 2 to 10 people. This visit marked a change. All I ever asked was a clean, simple hotel offering a good breakfast. This time there was no soap in the bathroom!! A 3 star hotel with no soap? The shower gel bottle, securely fastened to the wall, steadfastly remained empty the whole time. Perhaps I could manage without that, but no tiny bar of soap? Yes the towels were changed every day and I think the "green" way adopted by some hotels would suffice, could be used. We don't need 6 clean towels every day...but we do need a bit of soap!
Breakfast? Not a patch on my last visit. Mini bite sized pain chocolate and croissants and not many of those. When in France I want big, buttery croissants!! The kitchen staff were not very forthcoming on the subject either. Result, the rest of our days we ate at a nearby cafe providing a great French breakfast and at a lower price.
Disappointed, very disappointed. I recommended this hotel BECAUSE of its good, comprehensive breakfast.
