The location of this hotel is handy for the Gare du Nord and the Gare de l'est/nice restaurants/cafes. It's also tucked away on a nice, quiet street which is a luxury in Paris.
However, the hotel itself wasn't quite up to scratch (and I/my partner are not particularly picky). We had to change our room 3 times upon arrival. We booked a double standard room - 1st room: just a single bed, 2nd room: had mould on the wall!, 3rd room: adequate and comfortable - nice bed/bathroom, however no security safe in the room which should really be standard. Whilst the member of staff on reception did all that they could to help us with the room changeovers, it did not make a good first impression.
Similarly, due to there only being 1 member of staff on the front desk, they have to lock the front door when they need to attend to something else within the hotel. When myself and my partner came back from a night out we worrying had to ring the bell for a good 5 minutes before somebody came to let us in! Again, I am not blaiming any specific members of staff, it would just maybe be an idea to let guests know about front desk situation when they are checking in. Further to this, throughout the 6 nights we stayed there, we were not given more shampoo/had to go to reception to ask for towels and toilet paper - not refreshed daily.
Overall, this hotel was a little disappointing. However if you're wanting something near good transport links for a couple of nights, it would be adequat
