Disgusted by the room
I didn't stay I checked out immediately . Hope I don't get charged for the room . If I do I will be taking this further . When I checked out and told the member of staff why he said he was aware of the state of the rooms and that they were closing down in two weeks time.

It's a nice little hotel. Clean. Breakfast was not so good. And only one socket in the room that was working. It was uncomfortable.

Good price for location..smallish room.Very unfriendly reception,felt more like an interuption than a guest,,felt extremly uncomfortable when asking simple questions.I guess the female receptionist must have been owner as no staff could be so unfriendly to a guest without gettinfg the sack....

A stay close to Champs Elyse
We stayed in the hotel for three nights so we could explore Paris. It was fine for that with us only just sleeping there. It was close to Champs Elyse. iI was very convenient to catch the "hop on hop off" bus.

I still cannot believe that I had to almost wake up the guy at reception at 7 PM when I got to the hotel.. I think he was watching TV or listening to the radion and I really disturbed him when I arrived. Then my room was... horrible... there were 2 twin beds with old 80s blankets. They must have had them for 20 years... there were even cigarette holes in one of them. Out of the 3 or 4 bulbs in the ceiling of the bathroom only one was working and it was very dark. The soap used by the people before me had been left by the cleaning lady. In the hole of the sink was a stuck cheap prosecco plastic lid. The light switches were so dirty that I was using a tissue to touch them. The shower head stand was broken and there was no shower curtain or protection, so it was quite tricky not to flood the room... Anyway, I found the hotel really bad and did not even try breakfast as each morning I just wanted to run away.

This hotel is ok, but I expected more for the price I paid. It was clean but the maintenance of the bathroom and the walls is not so good.

Central Paris on a budget
My impression was not positive (closed down shop one side of the entrance with posters all over the windows). However, once inside, the hotel was clean, a good size room and comfortable beds. Could have done with more hot water for the shower, but it was warm enough for a late June stay. My breakfast was included, but I wouldn't have paid €10 for a few croissants, baguettes and jam packets. That said, the hotel is excellent value for money and is in a central location (2 mins from the middle of the Champs Elysees). Add to that the comfort and cleanliness of the room and it is somewhere I would stay again and would recommend to others who can't afford the king's ransom demanded by the more upmarket hotels.

Very disappointed
I reached the hotel and was informed at reception that my room was "flooded" because of the rain. As such, they agreed to arrange alternative accommodation for me at a sister hotel. This hotel was 35 minutes away - so not the part of Paris I wanted to stay in. Moreover, the room was tiny and dirty. The bathroom was tinier - and covered in mould everywhere, absolutely disgusting. The breakfast was insufficient and offered no choice. There wasn't even an iron available to borrow from reception. As a business traveller, imagine turning up with creases in your shirt. I would advise against booking at Pavillion Montaigne - you do not get what you paid for, or even close.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The hotel was very cozy and well kept. There was a lift, which after a long day of walking in Paris, is very nice. I very much enjoyed my room. I have no complains.

Close to station and affordable
Reasonable hotel for the price, but seriously need to improve on warmth of reception. There was a grumpy man at reception who did not seem very welcoming. Communication was monosyllabic and a smile was too much to ask for. When I enquired about wireless broadband he mumbled the name of the wifi channel. When I went back to my room, I was asked about the network password, thereby necessitating another trip to reception, and he then gave me the password. Could that not have been done in one go? Continental breakfast was ok. Good little hotel - just don't expect to feel welcome.

Good value for the location.
The hotel is in an excellent location less than 5 minutes from the Champs Elysee - a bit less than 10 mins to the Grand Palais. Near Metro. The room was fine, decent size and nicely decorated with comfortable beds and adjustable heating. The bathroom was old looking and some of the floor tiles were cracked but it worked fine. The breakfast was very enjoyable with plenty of coffee. The people on the front desk were very nice. I thought it was good value for the location.

Perfect location l with lower maintenance
We stayed 6 nights in this hotel. My wife and me were upset when we got the first room which was very small for us. We applied to the reception officer . he was very kind to change the room for a bigger one. The second problem was that the air condition was out of order. We applied to the reception and they resolved the problem.The location of the hotel is perfect. This hotel can be very attractive if it will be renewed........

The hotel was in a very convient spot. We were just a few steps away from the Champs Elysees. The room was large and clean, however it was also cold with no heater or radiator. The staff was fine. The internet was only available on the ground floor which was a pain to have to schlep everything down to use it.

For the price this is a decent hotel in a very convenient location. Room was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. Hot water to shower was not available in my room, or at least was warming at rate too slow to be detectable. The "free internet" noted on the site is actually only available in the lobby and not in the rooms. This should be specifically indicated in the hotel description. I was on a business trip and was relying on internet access being available in my room to work.

I was very surprised that this hotel has 3 stars, Maybe the location gives the stars. All through France and Italy, Expedia booked for us very good hotels. This one has to be taken out of the list. Very disappointed.

Amazing hotel, insane value!
Way better than expected based on the other reviews. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, and the location rivals the best you can get in Paris. Will definitely say there again

Visit to Paris
We stayed in this Hotel in 2009 as it was 5 min walk to Champs-Elysees. We booked this hotel again this year as this is the centre point to Champs Elysees. The metro station was 5 min walk and buses were nearby. We liked the hotel and the room was clean. The breakfast could do with better choice. I will surely recommend this hotel to my friends. One negative point was there was no lift to go up to our room and the staff did not help us carry our suitcase upstairs.

Weekend in Paris
Over all, the stay was very nice. The lady that worked the breakfast was very unfriendly & unhelpful. When I went down there, there were maybe 5 people in the dining area & only one clean glass. The croissants were good; I suggest taking some lunch meat so that you can make a sandwich with it. Also, there is no parking, so be prepared to pay for parking & several blocks away. The room was nice & clean. The bed was comfortable & I love that the windows opened up, I will stay again. Thanks

Bad points 1. The plaster was coming away in the bathroom. 2. The shower curtain was old too small and past its sell by date 3. The shower head kept falling over and flooded the bathroom 4. The curatins had an old stain (I think food) on it. 5. The stool had a filty stain om it. 6. The trim around the wall covering was coming away. 7. The room carpet needed shampooing. 8. No facilities in the room to make a drink. Good points 1. The breakfast simple but fresh. 2. The breakfast area was clean. 3. The bedding was clean 4. WiFi good

The hotel had no WI FI connection in the room. Breakfast finished at 9, during one weekday i came down at 10 minutes to nine and breakfast was cleared up. All the staff were great except for a middle eastern night concierge / who charged me 5 Euros for a Micro size plastic cup of juice. No minnie bar. Postives - Convenient location

Excellent location but shabby hotel
The location is excellent. The service was OK. Breakfast included was coffee, croissaints, juice and youghurt. Good enough for me. But the bedclothes were old and not really clean. Room was shabby, but the price was rather cheap. I would say that if the bedclothes would have been clean and modern, then I would consider to go there again.

1- The elevator only go to the 3rd floor, you have to carry your luggage though a narrow and steep steps to the 4th floor. 2- The hotel advertise Internet while there was no internnet available. 3- The shower tub has no shower cutrain. 4- The refrg. in the room does not work and the frig. door does not stay shut. 5-The bed cover was dirty, it has black spots on it. 6-The AC does not cool at all. 7- paints were pealing off the wall

While the staff was helpful and the loaction was great. The actual room and accommadations were quite dissapointing. I returned with bed bug bites covering my arms and on portions of my face, the T.C was not working due to a flood prior, the hotel smelled like damp mold ( again due to flood) Towels were so thin and small, leg of stool in room was broken. Do we need to stay more?

Location is the best part
The only saving grace for this hotel was definitely the location. All of the major Paris attractions were within walking distance. The woman at the front desk spoke very good english and was extremely helpful. When it came to the room, the room was in serious need of repair. The wall in the bathroom was falling apart. There were only two outlets in the room, both in use by the TV. The TV channels did not work. The site says that guests get free breakfast, free newspapers and the rooms have wireless internet in them. None of these statements are true. The sign on the back of the door in my room said that breakfast was available for a cost. There were no free newspapers and the only place that any form of internet was available was wireless in the hotel lobby. If it wasn't for the location of the hotel, I would have been completely dissatisfied with my stay.

If you are not going to spend a lot of time at the hotel, this is a good and cheap stay. It is 5 minutes away from the metro station. The AC wasn't working for 2 of the 4 nights we stayed there, but we open the window to get fresh air anyways. Room condition was old and rough but we don't mind it. Bed was comfy and breakfast was sufficient. Maid comes to replenish washroom towels and make bed which was nice. One of the 2 ladies that works at front desk is REALLY rude while the other one is nice. There is always someone at the front desk, even at night, so that was reassuring and one time they ask us if we have a room key so that was reassuring. We come back late and leave early so this room was enough for us. Do not expect anything hilton or delta.

Good location. 100m next to the champs Elysee. very quiet and secure for the car as Israel embassy is one door ahead. Room Nr1 was very large for a Paris hotel. AC and wireless internet complimentary. No lift. All in all a recommended hotel for the rate.

The Hotel was very nice. The breakfast was excellant- museli, croissants, bagettes, juice, tea and coffee- all self serve. The internet is available in the reception area only which is a bit of a hassle but there are heaps of seats so make yourself comfy and away you go. The hot water was minimal- what I would say at home to be luke warm and with no pressure. The TV in our room also did not work- it kept saying that there was no signal and no-one was able to fix it. We were out most of the day but I would have like to have seen the weather report!!

The room rate was expensive for the quality of hotel which I can only associate with the hotel's good location. There were the following problems with the room: - Hot water not very hot. - Shower curatin removed meant bathroom got soaked with each shower. - Two lights not working as bulbs removed. - Cigarette burn hole in blanket. -Wifi not available in every room as advertised. Overall an expensive 2* hotel that I would not visit again.

Friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast, micro tv in the room (not that we ever watched it), wi-fi connection only on the first floor since there's only one router (in the lobby). The hotel is located in an art gallery district, very close to Champs Élysées. The Metro is 4-5 blocks away. We enjoyed our stay, but we didn't spend much time at the hotel.. =)
