Nice hotel situated next to tube station

Posted 25-Feb-2017
Strategic location for travelers relying on public transport. Comfortable and clean stay. Some staffs were helpful and friendly with big smiles on their faces, some were opposite. Considering this hotel is right outside the busy street, the noise is bearable (not that bad) and we had a great night sleep.

Mediocre hotel

Posted 24-Feb-2017
Pros: Close to the Louis Blanc train station (Metro)
Cons: Noise level and room temperature control. It was hot and the thermostat did not work.
Location: They had restaurants and stores nearby. It is convenient to the train station (Metro)
The hotel was next to a loud street. The thermostat did not work and the bathroom was really small. The desk people spoke French and tried really hard to understand English. A lot of miscommunication. The breakfast is not included and cost 11 euros for basic breakfast food. You can go outside and get better food for that amount. The water pressure and hot water was great. Hotel is just old and basic. You have to sign up for wifi everyday .

Good location but full of Moss

Posted 03-Jan-2017
Pros: Location and amenities
Cons: TOILET
Location: Metro, food, grocery, near city
The hotel location is superb and the metro is just a stone throw away! Restaurant aplenty. The hotel lobby is nicely renovated and clean.. The rooms however are a step back in time. The toilets is horrible! Black moss all over the stained tiles around the tub. Unfortunately the sink in my hotel was also stuck and the staff had no initiative to unclog it... Looking at the other room pictures on expedia, all the other guest rooms are the same.. Scared from this experience.

Convenient and clean hotel

Overall a good hotel at a reasonable price, has an underground car park which was the main reason we stayed there (costs 20 euro/night). The location is good, right next to a metro which will have you in central Paris in about 10 mins. Also not far from Gare de l'est and some good restaurants. The room was clean when we arrived and was cleaned everyday, had a TV and good air-conditioning. Didn't try the breakfast.

Budget hotel

Posted 14-Oct-2016
Location: Connection via Gare du Nord
If you're looking for a room to put your head down for a night then you will be happy with it. It's clean and got relatively comfortable beds. However if you're looking for a relaxing stay then this is not for you, especially when staying in the rooms overlooking the main road. We got woken up few times at night by the city noise. The rooms overlooking the garden are much quieter, so try to stay on that side. The rooms are small and quite dated. I stayed there with my fiancée and it wasn't what we were looking for but it's close to Gare du Nord, so perfect location if you're pit stopping. Breakfast is basic cost about €10, which is ok comparing to cafes.

Great location

Posted 12-Sep-2016
Pros: Cleaned every day. Friendly staff. Great location... bakeries and grocery close by as well as a major metro stop. A/C, comfortable bed.
Cons: The sign in process for Wi-Fi was lengthy & none of my devices could sign on automatically... every time I lost connection, sign on had to be repeated
Location: Grocery store and several bakeries within a block as well as a major metro stop.
We had a room facing the courtyard so we were never disturbed by street traffic though we were right on a busy street corner and right across from a metro station. The ability to access the metro so conveniently was a huge plus. The room sometimes smelled a bit musty and the AC didn't cool it completely but it was comfortable. There was cleaning service and new towels each day. The breakfast was ridiculously expensive for what was offered but there were many bakeries and a grocery store within a block so that's what we did. There is free WiFi but it knocks you off quite a bit and you must go though an involved sign on process each time. That got a little old. The bed was comfortable, the water hot and the staff friendly. One night we were locked out at the front door and it took about 15 minutes before someone opened the door without explanation. I would definitely stay here again at the price I paid on Expedia.

A homely well located hotel

Posted 19-Aug-2016
Pros: Staff were welcoming, courteous and helpful. Hotel was clean with daily relacement of towels. A safe was provided for personal valuables.
Cons: A few extra tea/coffee etc sachets could be provided as only one drink per person per day were on the tray. Televison reception bad on some channels
Location: Located across the road from Louis Blanc metro so very convenient to all of Paris. Plenty of economical places to eat/drink in the surrounding area
A short but enjoyable stay in a comfortable hotel. Did not take breakfast so cannot comment on value etc. However, dining area was pleasant with a small external courtyard and was spotlessly clean with good facilities. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. Our room was street frontage on second floor but we did not find the street noise a problem. Room had air conditioning so no need to open the window at night. Beds comfortable and clean with daily room service and renewal of used toiletries etc. Staff were awesome and allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel for several hours after 12 noon checkout to enable a short tour to use up our day. A ten minute walk to Gare Du Nord station for Eurostar.
