The hotel was clean, nice with medium sized rooms. I appreciated that the hotel was very close to a main station that had access to 4 subway lines. The hotel did offer breakfast. The breakfast choice was okay not the best but it was suitable for a 5 day in Paris

Hidden Gem
All of the staff, especially Harold at check-in, were lovely. I was upgraded to a room on the 6th floor, which was quiet (except for other guests who don’t seem to know how to close a door without letting it slam shut) and had everything I needed, including a soaking bathtub - perfect after long flights and days full of walking. Are room sizes grand? No. That is how things are, but what is important is that it is super clean and comfortable. There is also a sauna available for guests. You’ll find robes provided in your room. The 24-hour espresso machine is a plus. In the past, I chose hotels as close to Gare du Nord as possible for convenience to CDG airport and the trains going everywhere. However, this location is ++!! I used to live in the 5th & 20th, so it was nice to learn the area around République better. It’s super walkable and much less busy. I did not opt for the breakfast, as I wanted to get out and try as many bakeries and restaurants as possible, but the dining room looked nice. To my fellow vegans: Go to Land & Monkeys (see photo with espresso at the hotel), Cloud Cakes bakeries - grab some meals to go at either for your flight home; dinners at Aujourd’hui Demain & Soya Canteen… all within 10-25 mins walking distance. I have already recommended this hotel to friends who plan to visit Paris soon, and when I return, Hotel Le Mareuil will be my first choice!

Beautiful hotel , interconnecting rooms much larger than expected . Staff so incredible friendly and helpful . Only downside was renovations happening so gym was out of order which I had been looking forward to using and only told one week before but apart from that , hotel was perfect in a great area for metro / restaurants etc . Lovely area will definitely be back

Paris delight
Great hotel with very friendly & helpful check-in staff. Very conveniently located within a couple of minutes walk from two Metro stations (Republique & Oberkampf) and close to many restaurants, bakeries & small supermarkets. Breakfast is not complimentary but there is free tea, coffee & hot chocolate throughout the day (in the ground floor) available for guests. The family interconnecting rooms are fantastic. The room sizes are very reasonable for Paris standards and the beds are very comfortable. There is a shower & toilet and a small fridge in each room with 2 complimentary bottles of water. The WiFi is stable and fast and the location is quiet. Highly recommended!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even took our luggage as we arrived early in the day. The room A/C was comfortable and the accommodations perfect for our needs. Wifi was adequate and it was easy to get to several metro lines. The neighborhood around had lots of food options. We appreciate how quiet the neighborhood was. No loud restaurants or heavy smoking nearby.

Lovely little family find
Fantastic set up for a family of four as we had interconnecting rooms almost like a mini apartment. Lovely location with nice restaurants in the area and easy access to Metro. Nice decor with little touches. Service lovely. We did have a problem with one of the bathrooms but the reception said they would fix immediately.

Our family of 4 had the interconnecting rooms at the hotel. Perfect for our family. The rooms are small, but very clean and beds are comfortable. The TV's had no english channels to keep kids occupied whilst we chilled in the rooms. The area felt safe and only a few minutes walk to Oberkampf Metro Station. The staff are great and booked taxis when asked. I would definitely stay again if in Paris.

Overall this is a fantastic hotel. You cannot fault the staff who do whatever they can to help you and always greet you with a smile. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and it is starting to show its age. Last time I stayed the beds were the most comfortable I had slept on in a long time. This time you could tell they were starting to age, though still quite comfortable compared to other hotels. The rooms themselves are still comfortable and clean though again starting to show their age. The air conditioning is top rate.The breakfast offering is adequate. This hotel is located close to public transport with 2 metro stations close by. This hotel is only a few metro stops to Hotel De Ville and the centre of Paris. Overall I highly recommend this hotel as the positives outweigh any negatives.

This was a very nice, quiet hotel in a very convenient area. The staff was always helpful. My only complaint is that the gym is tiny and the half glass shower door doesn’t keep the water in the shower, so the bathroom floor was always getting wet. I didn’t have the breakfast but it looked great and the breakfast room is very charming.

This hotel was awesome. The room was lovely and well appointed with everything you needed, including robes and slippers. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Beds comfortable. Quiet. Very near Republique square with many dining options and grocery within short walk. Close to Metro stop. We were thrilled to have found such a great place to stay as our base in Paris!
