In the center of Paris.

Posted 15-May-2017
Pros: The staff. The location.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: You can walk to everything. I liked that you are near businesses where Parisians are working. And there were restaurants of all affordability near by.
Great location. We were able to walk to every major tourist attraction. No cabs or metro needed. However the metro was close to Hotel. The staff was beyond EXCELLENT!!!. The front desk was on point. The wait staff in the dining room was so accommodating. The room was a great size for two ...but who wants to stay in a hotel room when visiting Paris.

Great Hotel, Bad Location

Posted 17-Apr-2017
Pros: The size of the room and the shower
Cons: Maybe at least 1 English speaking channel
Location: The location was terrible. Lots of people sleeping on the sidewalk, trash on the streets and people hanging out by the train stations.
The hotel was great with a good size for European hotels. The rooms were clean and the showers was great.

Excellent, classy hotel, good links to metro etc

Posted 22-Feb-2017
Lovely hotel. Reasonably easy to find, and a nice short walk both from the mainline train station and the metro. Greeting to the hotel was excellent, a lovely aroma permeates the entire reception area, staff very eager to assist, aswel as being kind and helpful. Decor throughout the hotel is very classy, modern fuenishings over the classical structure of the old building. Bar area is bright and welcoming, bar staff were helpful, free tea and cake during the day was a great addition! Would certainly stay here again.

26 sq meter Junior Suite is actually 18 sq meter

Posted 21-Feb-2017
The room is much smaller than advertised (18 sq meter for bath+room instead of advertised 26 sq meter). This is the Junior Suite. The double bed is actually two united 0.9m single beds. All other amenities are good and new. The room overall is high quality. I complained about the above and was offered free breakfast and that the mattress would be replaced. The mattress did not get replaced. The breakfast is acceptable, but not worth 25 eur. It contains cold meats, several types of cheese (good quality); several types of bread; milk; coffee (good quality); english breakfast variety (beans, scrambled eggs, bacon).

Stayed 3 nights in the one ded suite - lounge and one bed, 2 baths. Excellent clean room. Great service all round. Location was also very good...15 mins walk to the opera house and 2 mins to the nearest metro station.

Exquisite Parisian gem

Posted 09-Jan-2017 on Hotels
Lovely hotel, excellent service, staff who do that little bit more to make you comfortable. The building is charming, particularly the bar area, and the lovely old lift. Room facilities are excellent. The hotel was full on our fist night but were offered an upgrade for the second, we liked the room we were given so much we didn't bother with the upgrade! I think all rooms here will be excellent. The breakfast was another big hit, we had fresh prawns and tasty garlic mushrooms, everything was presented beautifully. We visited during a really cold spell and were constantly cold outside but the hotel was beautifully warm, a great haven in Paris

More than a 4-star hotel

Posted 06-Dec-2016 on Hotels
We were given an elegant room on the top floor (6th floor), facing the courtyard. The room was clean and quiet. There was a heavy blue curtain to hide the door, which helped to block noise and make the atmosphere homely. The bed was comfortable. The down pillows and quilt made sleeping very enjoyable. The bathroom was stylish. We loved all the free toiletries are from Clarins. There were free Evian and Badoit water in the mini fridge, as well as some Dammann tea. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall our stay was wonderful.
