Not all it's cracked up to be

Posted 15-Sep-2016
Pros: Quite a convenient location, near Gare du Nord station
Cons: The breakfast! The Wifi! The rooms!
Location: Hold on to your belongings!! A big station (Gare Du Nord) so lots of things accessible!
Very mixed feelings about this place! We went on a work trip and after reading many other reviews thought we might have found a hidden gem! The hotel overall was not terrible, the staff were very friendly and helpful- they gave us a converter plug in our time of need! But the room was very different to what was described... The first issue we had was the lift was broken, and we were staying on the fifth floor- going up the dark stairs (because most of the lights were broken) was not a nice start! Secondly, one of the rooms we stayed in, the bathroom door would not shut- it was lucky we were not sharing this room and that could have been awkward! Wifi was less than average- sessions timed out after 24 hours and the connection was very mid 00s Overall, as we were not there a whole lot of the time, it was standard. The breakfast choices were very limited- a bit of fresh fruit might have been nice to try!! And the croissants warmed up would have been preferred! The area was not as nice as we expected either- we witnessed a few things that worried us, and were constantly warned about pick-pocketers in the area, I do not think we would stay here again. Also, the taxi to the airport was very extortionate, paying 55 euros for a 25 minute journey, we believe the hotel kept 15 euros for arranging our taxi? What a joke!!

Il faudrait investir dans l'infrastructure

Posted 12-Sep-2016

What you expect for the price

Posted 30-Jul-2016
Some of the comments on here about this hotel are far to negative. I spent £140 on four nights at this hotel and I got more than what I would have expected for my money. Our rooms were cleaned spotless every day, the beds were really comfy and the shower worked really well. Some of the comments are from people who expected a five star service for the little price they paid.

close to metro and main train station

Posted 28-Jul-2016
arrived at hotel and greeted by smiling receptionists, especially Nadia who attended to us was very helpful, we arrived earlier than check-in time, but she let us checked-in to our room as it was really. when we inform her the refrigerator in our room wasn't working, she immediately arrange the contractor to change it for us. the friendly contractor even help us to adjust the aircon when he felt our room was not so cold. feel comfy staying in this hotel, it's newly renovated . very near to metro station and Gare Du Nord. located in a busy street with indian restaurant and shops.

Siistihkö hotelli budjettimatkaajille vaikkain hotelli on jo nähnyt parhaat päivänsä. Hyvä aamupala 10€ lisämaksusta. Alue ei ole Pariisin parhaita, mutta ei siellä pelätä tarvitse. Lyhyt kävelymatka Gare du Nordille.

Does not come close to three stars

Posted 05-Jun-2016 on Hotels
we had stayed at this hotel last November but the in a twin beded room which was not ideal, the hotel is split into to sections by a number of shops in between, this stay we had a double beded room , however it was tiny , the room door when closed hit on the electrical switches because the doorway was so narrow, the sink plug was missing from the sink which made it impossible to fill up to wash or shave, when I reported this I was told that a lot were missing to stop excessive use of water........ The next day the receptionist came up to our room and handed me an old plug which had to be fitted by a Plummer but they weren't willing to do any more with it, We were told the rooms were all recently renovated but found surfaces were falling apart and it became clear that the rooms were in a poor condition.
