Lovely, Quaint Hotel Near Eiffel Tower

Posted 17-Jan-2017
This was such a lovely hotel. and I truly would have given it excellent marks but the room was always so chilly when we came back in from a day walking outside in January - when it was cold and rainy. The thermometer refused to be increased from 25 degrees C. Even more, the room was absent of any teas or coffees - you have to pay 4 euros for a small cup of coffee in the kitchen (let alone if you'd like breakfast it's 14 euros!). The hotel otherwise was convenient for travel on the metro and allowed you to see gorgeous views of the Eiffel Tower at night. The staff was somewhat decent - even though some said they spoke English, they did not respond to our queries when asked in English. I had to muster up some of my high school French to make our inquiries.

Not a four star hotel

Posted 28-Nov-2016
As the subject says, it is not a four star hotel as advertised. But overall, you get what you pay for and it is still reasonable as a 3 star hotel and for the price. To justify the rating, I will give a few example. Only couple of plastic cups in the bathroom, no drinking cups in the room at all. There is a mini bar for charged bottle water and drinks. Lobby has tea and coffee also for a fee. The hotel staff are nice, but does not give accurate info. For taxi to airport, asked two staffs and one estimated 50-60 euro and the other said 65 euro. Booked taxi to airport through the hotel and it costed 85 euro. This is Sunday morning with no traffic. Hope this detailed info helps

Great quaint european hotel.

Posted 08-Nov-2016
Pros: Staff, location.
Cons: The room could use an update to the wallpaper and floor.
Location: Two blocks from the metro on a good line for easy access. Safe to walk around- even when I walked there alone at 11pm. Near starbucks, bakery, grocery
The hotel was great. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. They all speak English very well and are hospitable, helping to get cabs, transportation to the airport, give directions, and finding things I forgot (electricity converter/adaptor). The location is also great- in a safe, artsy neighborhood near shopping, restaurants and the metro (two blocks away). If you stand on the corner you can see the Eiffel tower- beautiful at night. As with most European hotels, the room was small. It did have everything we needed and there was enough space for us to move around.

Great hotel in a great area!

Posted 27-Oct-2016
Pros: Everything, but especially the staff. The room was clean and incredibly quiet- my two preferences for a hotel room anywhere.
Cons: The wallpaper and floor could use an upate.
Location: Shopping, restaurants, etc...within walking distance. A few blocks from the metro station. If you stop at the corner you can see the Eiffel Tower
I read the reviews on this site (and others) before I got there. It was a great hotel. If you want to sit in your room to watch TV and order room service every day while in Paris, this is not the hotel for you. If you're looking for a safe, clean place to sleep and get a little down time in between seeing the city or doing business, this is it. The hotel is easy to find (2-3 blocks from metro) and in a very nice artsy area. I walked around alone in the evening and night time and never felt concerned about my safety. The neighborhood is quaint with several bakeries, restaurants, shops, bars and grocery stores within walking distance. The lobby is clean and comfortable- I spent an hour there before my room was ready. The room was comfortable and very clean. It was a little bit small by US standards, but more than I needed. The room could use a few updates, but I wasn't there to sit in the room all day. The bathroom was very recently remodeled and everything worked well. The staff was awesome. Every staff person I interacted with spoke English very well- they made me feel quite comfortable even though I speak very little French. The staff are very committed to ensuring guests have a good stay. They offer a number of amenities including room service (which I did not use) and a power converter (which I did use). There was always someone at the front desk and they are very willing to make recommendations, provide directions, or assist you in getting transportation. Awesome place.

Small hotel & small rooms

Posted 23-Oct-2016
Pros: The front desk personnel are friendly
Cons: The buffet lunch is over price with very few variety of food.
Location: the hotel located in a quiet st. but very close to Underground station, Near by have plenty restaurants & coffee shops.
This is a hotel have fewer rooms. the room & the bath are small, so far it's clean & smell less. price is little high for the same category.

Great location, wonderful staff

Posted 16-Oct-2016
I highly recommend this Hotel. The area is safe, close to the Metro station, with many local cafes, a supermarket and small park. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. Reception is staffed 24/7. The room was compact but it was clean and modern. The beds were comfortable.

Hôtel calme et bien situé (quartier Vaugirard). Chambres propres. Personnel petit déjeuner accueillant Lit trop petit pour 2 adultes. Douche sans par douche très peu pratique. Pas de moquette dans les chambres mais du lino peu confortable
