Top locatie. Leuke wijk. Alles goed te lopen.

Pros: Fijne kamer.
Top locatie. Leuke studentenwijk. Hotel comfortabel. Niet luxe, maar schoon. Prima bed.

Albergo economico, quartiere eccellente.

Posted 04-Aug-2015

Very handy for Luxembourg station for the RER B train and links to the Metro. Close to the Pantheon, Catacombs and Notre Dame. Within walking distance of central Paris, although it's easier to use the train / metro. The room was big enough, with good AC and shower. Clean sheets and towels every day.

Convenient location

Posted 26-Jun-2015
Pros: Good staff, clean, quiet and good value.
Location: Good access to public transit, Luxembourg Gardens is about 2 blocks away.
We stayed in this hotel for a week. Although the room was very small, the bed was comfortable and clean. We overlooked the courtyard, and the room was very quiet at night. The bathroom was newly renovated and very clean. The large windows opened and the air conditioning is efficient. The breakfast (10 euros) was actually good value, as it included excellent coffee, rolls, croissants, juice, yogurt, cheese, cold meats and fresh fruit salad, among other things. Staff were very pleasant. There is free wifi in the hotel, and it is an easy walk to two RER stations and Luxembourg Gardens. There are many excellent restaurants in the St. Germain area and reasonably priced shopping on Blvd St. Michel. We took the RER train to and from Charles de Gaulle Airport. It is an easy and economical alternative to taxis.

Bad experience in Paris

Posted 24-Jun-2015
Pros: Located in a good place.
Cons: Staff, confort for the guest
Location: As mall supermarket, restaurantes, a park
It seems that the hotel and tis staff make a favour to the guests in receiving them. The wifi didn't work well. I needed to print a boarding pass., but I had to pay for the use of the computer to have it printed. It was raining and them didn't have umbrellas to lend.

Good location

Posted 22-Jun-2015
Pros: Location; good rooms, helpful staff.
Location: Close by, there is the Musee de Cluny, the Pantheon, the Luxembourg gardens, the St. Germain des Pres church, Notre Dame, the Ste. Chapelle, and more!
Our room was clean and comfortable. Its two sets of windows provided excellent insulation against the noises of the busy St. Michel boulevard. The bathroom was clean and spacious. This hotel is close to the Latin Quarter, to the lovely Lusembourg gardens, and to many interesting sites such as Notre Dame, the Ste. Chapelle, etc. It is also very close to restaurants and a RER station. Breakfast was good and the staff pleasant and helpful. I will certainly consider staying at the Hotel des Mines again!

Great location

The hotel has a nice lobby and breakfast area. Our room was very spacious and comfortable on the first floor. The only discomforting thing about it was the rumble and vibration of the subway underneath. We got used to it though. The location near the Luxembourg Garden is great. You can walk down to the Seine and bustling cafés and stores quickly. The subway is closeby.

Small rooms, great location, nice people

Posted 04-Jun-2015
Cons: Not sure if they can make the rooms bigger ;)
Location: see above
Overall, the hotel was a great choice. Although the room turned out to be so small that my wife and I couldn't move around the bed at the same time, it didn't matter. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spacious, the staff courteous and helpful, and the location was the key. Central to everything, great access to bus, metro, RER, across the street from the Jardins du Luxembourg, easy walk to the Pantheon and the Seine...great choice.
