First of all, No Air conditioning or fan so good luck with that... No electric socket close to bed and bed was also uncomfortable. Secondly, it’s far from city center so would not recommend this place unless you have no plan to visit Eiffel tower or city center in general.

We were super comfortable and it is necessary to mention how nice and helping the staff was. That being said, we were 2 small-ish women. The hotel would not have been so comfortable for someone bigger. The elevator is for one person only for a reason, and it only went to the 5th floor, the lat one having to be done via stairs. The shower was also not the biggest. But if you're looking for something affordable, next to a Metro station and with very nice staff, and you're not too bit, then it's a great choice.

Good for one night stay
Would only stay here again as last resort. This hotel is outdated, a one person elevator, we were 3 people in the room but only big enough for 2..bathroom shabby and toilet was in a tight corner, at least in our room. Our friends had the same problem with their room. Only saving grace is the neighbourhood.. 3 Metros within a short walking distance! Breakfast, 1Crossaint 1 breadbun, coffee and juice!

You get what you pay for
The terrible state of the rooms is compensated by the lovely old building and the central location. And I had a great deal through Hotels.com so can’t really complain. The toilet, which one has to step across in order get into the shower, seemed semi-detached from the floor. The interior of the bathroom was mouldy and cracked and the bedroom’s general appearance was cracked and ready for the skip. Nevertheless if you I prepared for that (which I was) it should not matter.

Nothing! The place should close down! No internet in rooms, elevator fits only 1 person (without luggage), not clean, employees/reception was not very helpful, I asked for 1 double bed but I had 2 singles, one electricity plug only available, floor dirty, curtains damaged and dirty, bathroom dirty with stains, toilet dirty. Not reccommended at all!!!

The staff was very helpful to answer questions about transportation in and out of Paris. There are some wonderful restaurants close by, as well as the metro. For the price, we did not mind an older, basic hotel.

This hotel is good for the budget and is pretty close to the city center so that you can walk instead of spend money on cabs. The accommodation and place itself is okay but the staff works hard to please you!

Could have been a better hotel
Let me get this straight... It's a two star hotel! No air conditioning. No tea facilities. The mattress is old. The carpet is old. The walls need repainting. The lift will only fit one person without any luggage. The room lights are a bit dim. But it's clean. Our bed was tidied everyday. The bathroom is in acceptable level. It's a bit better than a backpacker hotel. Staff is helpful. If you decide to have hotel breakfast, it's just bread, coffee and orange juice. WiFi is only available in the reception area, even if the website says you pay five euros for a WiFi use in your room, it's not true. The staff corrected that. This hotel is only good if you intend just a sleeping room. It's not even near any tourist area. Although train station is two minutes walk but it's about twenty minutes train ride to any tourists sites. This hotel is not recommended for family with young kids as you will be allocated in separate rooms if there are more than three of you. In general, this hotel has the comfort for backpackers only.

Lift is so small that it can hold only one person at a time. Our room was in 3rd floor and we were 5 people, so it was very difficult and tiring. Bathrooms were very congested. Room was ok. WiFi was very very bad. It connects only at the reception area.

THE INTRODUCING PICTURE MISLEAD
I was very disappointed when I discovered the hotel de Nemours. The elevator takes only one skinny person. Two small beds on wheels with theirs old mattresses can't stick together. The bathtub has no curtain to stop the water. You have to clean up after a shower to avoid falling. The small TV is high on the wall. the best way to watch it is by lying in the bed. Since the WI-FI is limited to the first floor only, all guests use the small lobby to surf the internet or make a phone call from your cell phone............ The location is great, many restaurants and stores around.

O stay with my family got two rooms but the rooms are way too small the beds are old the ceiling on one of the rooms was Comming apart I was afraid for bed bugs but thank God there was no problem with that the elevator is only for one suit case because you can't fit anything also. Don't trust the pictures because I have no idea where the one from the internet was taken.

The hotel did not have internet in bedrooms just in the living room here in the information says that we will pay additional money for having internet in the bedrooms and when you are in the hotel they say that there is not internet in bedrooms and they adviced to not use internet in bedrooms just in the living room, it is a lie about internet. The sheets of the bed were never changed during our stay of 7 nights, the towels were not changed either. The bathroom is very tiny, for going to the shower you have to jump a stair next to the toilet, for a medium size person it is too near the toilet that you will always be touching the toilet. When you shower the water will be all around the bathroom floor and almost to the carpet of the bedroom that we had to clean with towels the water to avoid it flooded. In winter the heater does not warm the bedrooms well as we slept with so much cold and they only provide a very thin blanquet that we had to request another blanquet and even though it was still cold. The lift is very small in the advice says just 1 person can get into the lift.

Aside from the NO REFUNDABLE policy, that I did not see, bill collected in advance; the experience was somewhat nice, as the hotel staff was very nice, willing to help, give directions, etc. The surroundings were very good. Actually what I am really dissatisfied with is the NON REFUNDABLE policy, so, I will be willing to recommend your site to friends, disregard my previous comments on the matter. (The dissatisfaction)

The only good thing about this place is its location which is near by to Republique and Oberkamf station. It is suitable only for the back-packers (provided they like to spend such money for the accommodation). It has very poor lift service (Only 1 person can go and that person should be in healthy state, no old or injured or person with disability can avail the lift in its premises). No dust-bucket or bin inside the room (rooms also are built very congested) to throw any rubbish. You will find dust-bin only in bathroom. There was no quilt in the room for winter season nights, only the blanket to give you marginal warmth.

The hotel staff was extremely rude, would not even print my boarding pass, and yelled at me for losing a wifi password. It was a very strange place and the staff definitely has an attitude problem. I was very unpleasantly surprised to find out that wifi is an extra 5EUR, when I thought it was included. Dont even get me started on the room! The mattrress was about 40 years old and extremely uncomfortable, and the bathroom was pretty gross with mold all over. On top of that, the shower did not even work properly, and there was water all over the floor. The place is pretty cheap but I should have paid 50eur more to stay somewhere nice...plus many of the visitors were pretty shady characters.

Great hotel for the price
I had a really nice time at Hotel de Nemours. It was in an okay area of Paris...very close to a major Métro stop, but I wouldn't have wandered around there at night. Nice little cafés nearby, a grocery store right across the street, and a Mcdonald's by the Métro stop (for the people who aren't looking for a French culinary extravaganza). The Métro stop (Parmentier) was less than a 5 minute walk away and made it very easy to get to the center of Paris. The wifi was a little spotty, but it worked. I'm still glad I paid for it. The price was what drew me to this hotel, and I was definitely not disappointed. It exceeded my expectations.

It is a budget hotel like many in other European cities like London or Rome. What makes this hotel special is the size of the elevator. If you arge bigger I would not recomend the hotel. I have a 36 waist size and me and a suitcase with a bag pack just fit in. So if you are budget minded and think you fit in the elevator it is an OK hotel. The location really does not mater because you always will be on the metro.

The room was small and had a damp feel to it. The bathroom was not very clean. The toilet is squeezed into a corner. The bath/shower was open, which makes or a wet bathroom after a shower. The cost is average for Paris but don't expect any perks besides being in the city of Paris.

Pity the lift could only fit one person, very difficult for people with poor mobility, eg the elderly or small children. Would be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in rooms. Our bathroom had been renovated but the hall way wall backing onto it was still very damp and smelly, inside the room was not damp or smelly.

Good position, mediocre hotel.
Tiny room, with an exceptionally narrow bed for my 6' 2" frame. The nearby lift and banging of room doors kept me awake both late at night and in the early morning. The room was barely clean; the carpet was not cleaned at all during my 5 night stay,and the bed was not made properly, only the cover was tidied . On the positive side this hotel is very near to several different metro lines and has good local shops, cafes and market. This was my third stay at Nemous but possibly my last. Not an improving hotel.

You get what you pay for (and what you ask for)
This hotel was the cheapest that met our needs of being near three major train stations in Paris. The lack of maintenance and number of broken fixtures, and less than fastidious cleaning were therefore no surprise. But our beds were scrupulously clean, and the room met our needs, so all this was fine. We stayed twice in two weeks, and on the second week were unable to use the shower in our first room - partly down to a confusing switch between the labelling on the hot and cold taps, and also down to a shower head that did not stay in place. This was not fine, and we were frustrated when the reception was unable to do anything about it on the evening of our check-in. But when the owner was in the next morning he quickly gave us a new room and the rest of our stay was smooth. So, while physically the hotel is definitely what you'd expect from its price, the service is at least capable of making up for the shortfalls we saw in that regard.

Hotel de Nemours
The hotel was small but very clean. The bathroom was great there was hot water. The room was spacious and very comfortable. There was no free wifi. The lift was very small which causes a problem if your on the fifth floor, like i was. It isn't very close to any of the main attractions but the train is very close which makes traveling the city very easy. Staff was very helpful in giving directions and the easiest way to get to attractions. Over all a great experience.

It is quite a small hotel. It takes place next to Republica square, that is not far away from downtown in fact, but it is on the wrong side of the city. If you don't mind using public transport in Paris which is 1,70 Eur per ticket (valid for 1 hour I thing) , the hotel is situated in a good part of city. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Eifel Tower by Metro (about an hour on foot). There are many nice cafés nearby on the other hand. The hotel room was quite small and we found some hair in bed and cigaret butts in flowerpot on our window. But if you can stand that, it is a cheap hotel that is not faraway from the downtown. As I said, it could be cleaner.

This hotel is a little out of the way, but it is walking distance from basically any point in the city (Paris is so spread out that everything is a long walk). The staff was always available and spoke English. The room only had one chair, but you really just need a place to sleep.

Great location, good value, but definitely a one-star property.
This hotel is conveniently located with access to several Metro lines. The rooms are sparsely furnished and fairly clean, but the beds aren't comfortable. The pillow was awful. The walls are paper thin, so even the slightest noise from your neighbors can be heard - use your imagination here - it is Paris after all. The elevator is tiny. Be prepared to use the stairs. Ask for a room on a lower floor. The neighborhood is great. Lots of inexpensive cafes and restaurants close by. It's a less touristy area, so you can have a more authentic experience than if you stay in a chain hotel closer to the museums and attractions.

The hotel only looks nice on pictures! Although the service was good, the hotel it self its not. Barely one person can fit in the lift and the hallways are really cramped. The room was very small with not A/C! The bathroom is really small and you can barely fit inside the shower. The bed looked like it hasn't been changed or washed. The hotel is not in a bad location but will not stay there ever. We did not spend the night, too hot and noisy. Ended up going to a Holiday Inn.

Excellent location, close to Metro and number of good restaurants... Only BAD thing was unbelievably small lift...! If you had suitcases, you had to go up to room ..then send backdown the lift, and the room clerk sends the bags up... Second issue is that WI FI often did not work in the room..ONLY in the lobby...quite inconvenient...I would hope they can get it fixed...price for use of wi-fi at EURO5 per total stay very good... Good value for a traveller who wants to spend money on food, drink, and tourism, rather than expensive room....

The first day I arrived at the hotel I noticed that left half of the double window in my room was loose and came down easily. I mentioned this to the front desk who didn't seem to take me seriously. The next day I assumed that the window had been fixed because it was shut. a different positon from where I had left it. Oh no, it was still quite broken, came off of its hinges and landed squarely on my right foot. I thought I was going to die right there it hurt so badly. Ultimately I ended up in a Parisan ER til almost 4AM. My foot wasn't broken, but my window wasn't fixed for two more days. The hotel wanted us to keep the window closed, but we were on the 4th floor with no AC and the stench from the bathroom was terrible, so we risked dealing with the window to survive the smell and the heat. No one at the hotel offered to help me in any way.....they wouldn't move us to another room, accomodate us with payment for our trouble, etc., etc. It was obvious the whole staff knew what had happened....our floor maid to whom I had said nothing of my injury asked how my foot was doing. She was the only concerned being at the hotel. There are plenty of other hotels in this area...I'd avoid this one.

Perfect Location for exploring Paris on foot.
Great neighbourhood, not touristy, feels like real Paris. Hotel is close to Eurostar. Hotel is also very close to Metro Parmentiers, although we found ourselves walking almost everywhere we needed to as Republique is around 10mins walk away and from there it seems it is possible to walk down one main road to anywhere you need in Paris! Room was clean and we had more room than expected. Views from windows were fine from 5th floor. Needs updating but everything was in working order with good hot shower. Lift really can only hold one person at a time, possibly sucking in! But this is the only downside and we didn't find it too much hassle to take turns in the lift. The only other downside was that the walls are paper thin, in the morning(9am) it seemed as though the cleaner was trying to demolish the floor above us. Would definitely stay here again for perfect location and safe neighbourhood with everything you could need nearby.
