Very good hotel close to mostly everything.

Posted 22-Jul-2016
The hotel is a small, picturesque, colorful and relaxed place. It is close to the Louvre, Palais Royal, Muses D'Orsay and 50 min walk to Eiffel tower and the Arch of Triumph. The rooms are quite small for 2 people, the bathroom is extra small and it had some humidity problems (leaking from the AC, and the shower had some moldy edges). It also did not have a safe to put valuables and no iron for our clothes. Overall it is a beautiful place and we had a wonderful time.

Central location, 450m from The Louvre

Posted 16-Jul-2016
Pros: The location.
Cons: Should have more hooks for towels, and more area to put things in the washroom, since it is actually a big washroom.
Location: It is 450m from The Louvre, about 5 minutes walk. It is right next to food and shopping district on Saint Honoré.
The staff were very friendly. The room was very clean. The bed was so comfortable. Big windows and big bathroom, rare in Paris. However, only one elevator in the hotel, so if needing to leave in the afternoon, consider leaving some time to take turns with the cleaning crew. It is in a central location, very easy to walk to all tourist locations, close by Châtelet - Les Halles station which you can take the RER B directly from and to CDG. The price of the hotel was good. If this is your first time going to Paris, I would highly recommend staying here.

Nice Staff, very small room.

Posted 06-Jul-2016
Pros: Everyone working here was very nice and extremely helpful with directions and suggestions.
All of the people working here were very nice. The room was VERY small, the bathroom was VERY VERY small, if your more than a little overweight you will not be able to use this room. The elevator only holds two people, barely and doesn't go to the sixth floor, you'll have to walk up a small winding staircase. I don't mean this as a negative review, just be aware of where you will be staying.

Very convenient location with good restaurants.

Pros: Friendly staff, cute room, and the close proximity to some the main point of interest.
Location: Great location.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I checked into the hotel with the assistance of a very friendly staff member named Fiora Lanfranchi. The staff made every effort to be helpful. The room was small but nicely decorate. Loved the shower! The location is walking distance from the Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Notre Dame and the French Tourisme office.

It very central to all activities.

Pros: *See above
Cons: WIFI ..... it really doesn't work as it's advertised that it has.
Location: Eating, shopping, touring museum - especially the Louvre Museum! We loved being able to walk to "Artist Square", too!
The wifi was very spotty and sometime didn't even work at all. It was horrible trying to get wifi even though they advertised this hotel as having wifi. It really DOESN'T!!!!!!!! You connect, then it's lost and when it does connect, it take waaaaay too long to get anything done. After a while you just give up! There is DEFINITELY something wrong with their internet system. Don't trust them when they say, "it works", or " here are the instructions", "it will connect". There's not enough signal for it to work at all. But other than that, the staff are really nice people. Love the proximity of this hotel within walking distance to museums, shopping, eating, and post office!

Bodde her med familien, små men greie rom. Ikke alt som fungerte optimalt, men beliggenheten er perfekt.

Amazing value

I've stayed at Hotel Crayon a number of times and have always been pleased with the value for money. It's very reasonably priced, with good wifi, pleasant service, comfortable beds and the location can't be beat. It's just a short walk from the Marais, Saint Germain, the Louvre, etc. The rooms have gotten a little run down and my last stay wasn't quite as clean as previous ones but the hotel is still a really great value for money with a lot of character.
