Very welcoming close to train station. Only downside was that the shops near shut at 9pm.

Construction going on right at the door and in surrounding areas. Makes taxi pickup and drop-off cry inconvenient. Needs updating inside. Broken tiles in bathroom. Twice my key was disactivated which i didn't learn until i tried and had to go down to reception and wait to be assisted. Doesn't seem like an issue until you have a child that was already eager to use the restroom. Under staffed. Bar closed at odd hours. Often no one who spoke English, Spanish or Portuguese for room service. Carpets are stained but beds were made &fresh towels stocked daily. Some staff great. Some staff terrible. Concierge very welcoming, inviting, and helpful in using metro. Patio restaurant supervisor very rude and aggressive. After checkout, the nice receptionist invited us to sit in the patio to wait for our cab since the lobby was busy. The Indian man from the restaurant told us to leave if we didn't order something. Funny thing is that no one asked for an order. I suggested giving me a menu so i COULD order. I actually wanted some drinks- juice, coffee, water. He was displeased but obliged. Upon arrival of our cab, we pickup up our remaining drinks but were informed we couldn't take them in the glass bottles. I paid 16 euros for3 drinks. 2 were on their original glass bottles and because of this, was denied taking them. I wasn't offered a cup to take away... nothing but an almost offended, bewildered, and annoyed look from the server. Poor way to end our stay. For price, you'd expect more.

Property and staff are great. We had several issues, wherein they gave away our room before we arrived. When we got another room, we opened the door and there were people inside! On 2nd night they apparently gave our room to someone because they opened our door! Fyi the ac is only on during the "summer". Some rooms dont have windows that open, its hot!

Front desk staff was generally not friendly, not responsive and not helpful. Housekeeping was skipping my room for cleaning for the entire 8 days of my stay. I had to call every single day asking them to clean my room. No corrective action was taken as to why my room was being skipped on daily basis. There was no tissue paper in my room. When I asked for some at the front desk, I was told the entire hotel was out. This hotel was taken over by Mercure recently and since then, overall quality has diminished due to apparent cost cutting. Many items were removed from the breakfast buffet after the change.

It was not a good experience. The room was hot, AC or fan didn’t work, called the lobby and told us it wasn’t “available “yet. Told us to open the window, window didn’t open. The fan in bathroom didn’t work so the room was super hot , steamed and always hot. Had to open door to hallway to get some air. So disappointed on this hotel, lack of care, concern or help. Skip breakfast , expensive and low quality food and bad service .

Disappointing, firstly they had no booking for us. We had to prove we’d booked with Hotels .com then they said there were no rooms, then had to check with hotels. Com then told us hotel had been acquired by Accor in April but due to computer problem all bookings were lost. No one at the hotel appeared to take responsibility. We saw about 5 people, had to repeat out situation numerous times. After about 30 minutes they gave us a room with no apologies for delay etc. The hotel is very shabby, looks dirty and rooms dilapidated with broken tiles in bathroom and sparse ammenities. All this after a 30 hour flight. Then on booking out they charged us for breakfast which was not ordered, when we queried that the person on checkout said it was ‘there you just didn’t eat it’

When I told people we would be visiting Paris, everyone said the people there would be rude to us Americans. Not at all. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond --Francois in particular spent the better part of an hour on the phone talking to people at the airport about our missing luggage. The breakfast buffet was great and the rooms very nice.

Have previously stayed here as a couple, and always found the rooms to be adequate.On this occasion I was a solo traveller, and although I paid for a 'standard double room', I was allocated a dark and dingy cramped room on the first floor. The room would have been poorly lit if all the lights were working, but the lights on one side of the bed did not work. The dark brown unappealing paintwork was chipped, the carpets worn and thin. The staff at check-in and check-out were helpful and pleasant, and the bed was clean and comfortable. Would not recommend on the basis of this visit.
