DISAPPOINTING!

Posted 04-Jan-2017
Pros: Location, decor, and cleanliness. Dean, George, and Isabelle!!!
Cons: Severine and the owner, Enrico Casimirri!!!
A childhood friend and I decided to celebrate our 50th birthdays in Paris. We started confirming the travel plans in Sept for a Dec trip. You would think 3 months would insure the success … well, no such luck. We booked through Expedia - 1st mistake - and altogether different story. In any event, once booked & paid through Expedia, we felt it necessary to contact the hotel directly, to make sure all was in order. Started emailing Hotel Ares Eiffel on Sept 3rd, to confirm our desired reservations/payment, etc. I collected 5 emails from Hotel Ares Eiffel - not 1 or 2 but 5!!!!… all confirming we were indeed booked for the 3 nights we needed & all was completed with our reservation. Two different people at the hotel had confirmed ALL WAS IN ORDER for our desired, 3 night stay. We were excited!!! 3 MONTHS LATER — When we arrived at the hotel to check in - the woman at the desk stated we only had 2 nights booked and they needed payment over 2 times the amount we originally paid. They admitted they made a mistake but demanded we pay the doubled amount or leave the hotel. VERY UNFAIR and disappointing!

Perfect location!

Posted 03-Jan-2017
Cons: A few things didn't work in the room. The plug in the cosmetic mirror which was the only plug in the bathroom and the heated towel rack didn't work.
Location: City Center. Short walk to the Eiffel Tower and the Metro stop where you could take short rides to all the sites! Very quite at night.
Our stay at Hotel Ares was wonderful! The room was clean, very comfortable bed, wonderful lighting and a large (at least for Europe) bathroom with double sinks, large shower and soaking tub. This petite hotel is in a great location. The neighborhood is very quite for being so close to everything. Short walk to the Eiffel Tower, Metro was right around the corner. Wonderful restaurants nearby. We highly recommend Vin et Maree for incredibly fresh seafood at good prices. We were there the week before Christmas and the room was very warm and cozy. Perfect for two people, although three would have been cramped. We would definitely stay again. Merci Hotel Ares!

Lovely hotel near The Eiffel Tower

Posted 03-Jan-2017
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Paris at Hotel Ares. The accommodation was lovely and it's accessibility to the shops and train station was an added bonus. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, but is relatively close to numerous restaurants. I will definitely be visiting Paris again and will stay at Hotel Ares.

Excellent staff and perfect location!

Posted 04-Dec-2016
Pros: The hotel is a few blocks from the Eiffel tower and there are plenty of restaurants (and a supermarket) nearby.
Location: We walked every day to the Eiffel tower to take a hop-on-hop-off that took us to the main points of interest. We will definitely come back!
We enjoyed our four-day stay last week. The staff was very nice, especially Isabel. I highly recommend staying at this boutique hotel. The Eiffel tower is at a short walking distance and the metro station is just around the corner. For a very low fee, they offer a portable router that can be used by up to 10 devices, so you will have access to the internet all the time; this was especially useful to look for locations in Google Maps, etc.

The most unprofessional staff I have ever encounte

Posted 29-Nov-2016
At midnight after a long trip, they refused to check me in, because the receptionist "doesn't have the code to access Expedia" Not only that, after showing them my passport and credit card, they still weren't sure if they weren't fraudulent!! "Because they aren't used to ppl checking in around midnight"!!!! Even though on their Expedia listing they mentioned late check in!! Definitely the worst experience with an Expedia hotel..

Clean room, good location, petty $40/night charge

Posted 25-Nov-2016
Pros: clean/spacious room, very clean bathroom, great location (1 minute walk to metro & late night eateries around the corner) Cons: stairs may be difficult if you're not in good health and the elevator barely fit my family of three with our two luggages. They charged us 40 euros per night for my 7-year-old son accompanying my husband and me. In all fairness, the fine print in the Expedia listing states that the hotel considers "a person of any age as an extra adult". However, 40 euros/night seemed pretty excessive for a little boy. So be careful if you have litttle ones with you, no matter what age they are.

Nice hotel close to the Eiffel Tower

Posted 25-Nov-2016
Pros: The location, atmosphere, cleanliness.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: The location was very convenient and safe. It was within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, metro, cafes, grocery stores, and restaurants.
Stayed in the "Superior" room which had a comfortable queen bed, spacious closet with fridge, and big bathroom. Stayed for 5 days and had an amazing time exploring Paris. Didn't try the food at the hotel. Grocery store was very close so we bought some snacks from there and ate at the local restaurants and cafe's which were all very good.

Perfect bij de Eiffeltoren

Posted 17-Nov-2016
Pros: Gunstige ligging t.o.v. Eiffeltoren
Location: Eiffeltoren/Seine
Wij hadden drie Executive rooms, deze waren super. Ontbijt ter plaatse vond ik te duur. Gewoon buiten doen. Super ligging nabij de Eiffeltoren.
