Lobby smells, Beds Uncomfortable

Posted 28-Apr-2016
You get what you pay for. Was a good deal but sacrificed comfort and security to stay here. The lobby smells during the daytime of sewage. The beds are rock hard - most uncomfortable I've ever slept in. Was on 3rd floor on back side of main street yet heard trucks passing all night - very difficult to sleep. Not clean - cigarette butts all over balcony of room. Rooms are the tiniest you have ever seen in your life. Staff is inept - one older woman in particular. Do not recommend at all.

Wonderful hotel in a great location

Posted 11-Apr-2016
Pros: Great staff, ideal location close to sites and restaurants and cafes
We stayed in Hotel Ares for one night for a quick trip to Paris. The hotel was beautiful, very clean and in an ideal location. There are loads of restaurants, cafes and bakeries within just a few minutes walk. The room had great French details and was very comfortable. Compared to some American hotel rooms, it is smaller, but quite a nice size for Europe--and we had three adults and one toddler. The staff was excellent--very helpful and nice. You could walk to the Eiffel Tower in about 15-20 minutes and to various other sites in just a bit longer than that. Overall, it was an excellent stay and I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff make this a 5 star hotel

Posted 07-Mar-2016
Pros: The staff.
Cons: The beds. Our bed was a bit 'broken down', like it had been "sat" on the edge of the bed too much. It was still very comfortable, just a bit worn.
Love, love, love this hotel. From the minute we walked in, the staff was so welcoming and friendly. Our rooms were very nice and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms were gorgeous. I love the rain shower head. The water was nice and hot. A big shout out to Kristine for all of her help with our rooms. She was wonderful!

Quiet and romantic at the heart of Paris.

Posted 21-Feb-2016
The hotel, staff and location could not have been better. It was the little things and quiet attention to detail that made our experience perfect. Room was lovely and very comfortable, larger than we expected for downtown Paris. Would return in a heartbeat.

Excellent hotel and service

Posted 10-Jan-2016
Pros: Close to wide range of restaurant types and services, but off a major street, so quieter than you would think for being in the city.
Location: The Eiffel Tower is a 5 minute walk, north east. If you go south east of the hotel, you have unlimited choices for food and services.
Excellent service at a great value. We were warmly greeted and shown to a very nice, clean and well-appointed room.
