Excellent hotel

Posted 14-Apr-2017
Pros: Everything. The room was spotless and the staff was so helpful from the moment you walk into the hotel until you checkout The breakfast was plentiful
Cons: Sound proofing the hallways
Location: The area was safe and easy to get around. Near train station and metro
Great hotel and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Metro 5 minute walk. Safe area. Good value for the price.

Nice hotel eith good location

Posted 13-Apr-2017
It's was our Third time in Paris. The hotel has very good location, 3 min. walk from Republique metro station that has a lot of metro lines to get to any point of the city simple and quickly. At the hotel area there are a lot of nice restaurants and bar. The boulangerie that located right next to the hotel it's great!! The room is small (as they are in Paris) but eith a comfortable king size bed, mini bar, electric kettle for tea and coffee, which is very nice. The shower has good hot water and watter pressure :) The reception staff was very kind and they always where there to help us and recomend stuff.

Lovely hotel and Staff

Posted 10-Apr-2017
Pros: Location is great! Close to the Republique Metro Station that connect with most lines
Location: Lovely cafes and Bars nearby. Restaurants and Gare du Nord walking distance from the hotel
The staff was really welcoming and helpful. Room was bigger than expected and the bed was so comfortable! Just what you need after long walks discovering Paris. Biscuits and complementary coffee in the room was a nice touch!

It was okay but nothing special

Posted 26-Mar-2017
Pros: Location was good, Staff where helpful, although cleaning staff didn't know english which got a bit awkward. window view was good
Cons: The lift is really rickety and felt like it was about to break The breakfast was not worth what I paid I had no spoons in the room. Its very dusty!
Location: Location is great, the Republique metro station can get you to basically everywhere touristy.
Check in: Really easy, the check in people spoke both English and french however there was around a 8 euro city tax which wasn't clearly made aware to me. The following is whats in the fees section for the hotel which isn't 100% clear: " You'll be asked to pay the following charges at the property: A tax is imposed by the city: EUR (value redacted) per person, per night We have included all charges provided to us by the property. However, charges can vary, for example, based on length of stay or the room you book. " The room: The room was okay, I was in room 602 which was on the highest floor. It was a good space for one person but I'd imagine two would get cramped quite quickly The Shower/bathroom was quite small (I am an average build) The floor could do with some love as it was a mess of colors and paint splodges The bed was two single beds put together. They where not fixed to the ground and when I sat up in them against the head rest they would slide forwards. This was incredibly frustrating. There was a nice little fridge for any food I got which was incredibly handy (Note: This wasn't like a mini bar, it was empty) For the price I paid however I was slightly expecting more.

Not the best place for comfort

Posted 14-Mar-2017
This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in!!! First of all the room was so small and the bed was so big that I literally didn't have space to walk, let alone leave me stuff around! No closets, dressers, iron, robe, water, nothing! At one point in the middle of the night I was so thirsty and ran out of my personal juice and I had no choice but to drink tap water. When I had to go into my luggage I had no choice but to leave all my stuff in my bed because there was literally no where else to put it. I even lost my portable charger mixed with my clothes on the bed. Not only that but any time anyone would leave their room, the door would slam so hard that I would jump up because it sounded like someone opened my door. Hallways are super small you can hear people talk and they sounded like they were right next to your door. I only found two outlets in the room and one of them didn't even work properly. The ONLY good thing about this place is that it's a great location. Literally close to everything! I'm usually cool and okay with certain things and not dramatic but it was just underwhelming. I would not stay here again

Pros: bed size
Nice property with a big bed (biggest I've ever seen in a hotel). Well located near cafes, creperies and places for dinner. Will repeat for sure.

Great property!

Well located near Republique Square, this hotel offers a huge bed ( biggest i've seen in a hotel) and a clean bathroom. If you book it soon ask for a balcony room

Overall review

Posted 24-Feb-2017
When i first arrive at the hotel, i was greeted by this friendly, nice and smiley staff at the reception. It was a big man in specs at the reception. Im sorry i forgot the name. All staffs were wonderful and helpful. When I request to change my room on my arrival, because the mirror was directly opposite my bed, the man at the recption did it with a smile for me and even let me take a look at another room to see if its ok for me. Bed was really big and comfy. Room was big and spacious. One downside was that the window could not be open(mayb because it was on the ground floor) there was poor ventilation. But it was okay as we opened the door from time time to allow some ventilation. We felt safe at the hotel and feel really like home. The bathroom was seperated by a glass door which we found it quite wierd rather inconvenient as i was staying with my brother. They do not provide slippers which we thought they should as they have everything, tolietries, fridge, kettles etc.. it was not much of a big problem though. What i really look into was service and saftey. Thumbs up for this two aspects. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

Absolutely different room from booked one!

Posted 03-Feb-2017
Cons: Their English and knowledge being a receptionist...
Location: Location was actually good close to Republique lots of restaurants and cafes around.
I booked a room with a patio (looked very nice but I was expected it for almost 60£ a night). When I arrived we got a room basically in the lobby (very loud, guests are right next to you(literally!) ). So obviously I told the person who was at the reception that this is not the room I booked. His English was really poor and basically told me first he can't help me because this is not his job. ( so then you wonder that he watches tv the all night there and doing nothing and that is his job)..... Then he looked and told me there is a room upstairs I can check it out which has a patio... my friend waited in the lobby at that time. So I went and checked and it smelled like cigarettes (horrible like someone just smoked a pack there!) and the patio was a window (well done! totally the same as a patio). So I asked for the other room back. He told me to complain in the am to the other receptionist not to him... (also another thing when we got back from dinner before 11 he didn't answer to the door at all waited a bit until he came out!) In the morning we had a huge cockroach next to our bed (clearly I got a heart attack when something crawl next to you) I asked them running out to get it out of our room. They were kinda laughing saying this is just a petite insect (suuure...) and this never ever happened before.. Well the cleaning ladies seemed like experts getting it... so I'm sure this never happened before... I just wanted to get out from there...
