Our trip would not have been complete without stay

Posted 09-Oct-2016
Pros: The room, the service, the staff were all great. A really nice 'homey' feel to the facility.
Cons: Hotel was good overall, but the elevator started at the second floor - ground floor was called Floor 0 - second floor was called the first floor.
Location: Lots of restaurants and walking distance to the Louvre, etc.

Dear Brian, Thank you for taking your time and sharing your experience with us. Our hotel is located in the old historic building. We try to preserve the original features. The lift starts from 1st floor, here in France we do not count the ground floor basically 1st floor starts from 2nd floor. As we are not 3 or 4 star hotel, we do not have special personnel for luggage. But, the reception often offers to help guests to help them with luggage. Hope you still enjoyed your stay at Hotel Opéra Maintenon despite your luggage carriying experience. We hope to see you again at our hotel. Kind regards, Ariuna

good price, great location!

Posted 22-Apr-2016
This hotel was reasonably priced and very close to everything, including easy access to the Metro. It was undergoing renovations during our stay so it wasn't in top form... One morning i woke up to the hammering of the workers doing the renovations. However, the hotel staff was LOVELY and vet accommodating and helpful. They even helped me up and down the stairs with my massive suitcase! The room was very clean and very comfortable, and updated. When they're done with the upgrades this will be and even better place to stay.

Not luxurious, but comfortable and clean!

Posted 26-Sep-2015 on Hotels
The reception was very cordial and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our bathroom was spotless. Our room faced towards the street and it was quite a lively street late into the night and in the early morning we were awaken by the garbage trucks instead of our alarm clock. That being said, it was all part of the experience of being in Paris! We would go back and stay there, again.

Uncomfortable hotel

Posted 21-Aug-2015 on Hotels
It was just an overnight stay and I wouldn't say it's an expensive nor a cheap stay.... considering it is in Paris..... but I could have gotten a hotel closer to other landmarks at the same price or at least $20-40 more. This hotel is so small, no elevator , room very small , carpet smells and the bathtub not so clean, toilet bowl shakes when you sit on it. We could hear the noise from the street as the motor vehicles specially passenger bus pass by in front of the hotel :( The only good thing is, the front desk help when we were checking out was very friendly and helpful.very

A great little find

Posted 27-Jun-2015 on Hotels
From the outside most people would ignore this hotel, but I was surprised that even the Taxi drivers knew it, which is a bonus. The staff ave very friendly, helpful & accommodating. They always suggested the bet route to take & best mode of travel. The cleanliness of the room & it's upkeep would leave a lot of 5 star hotels in shame, we had stayed in several 5 star hotels earlier on our holiday & the service we received here was a lot better. On the day of our departure there was a full taxi & private car strike in Paris & the staff started the day before to try & find us a means of travelling to the airport & the last actually ended up the best, not completely convenient as we had to walk with suitcases for several blocks, but no hassles.

Expensive for the hotel general condition

Posted 14-Jun-2015 on Hotels
The hotel is very well located. The staff was friendly even though they should have more English speakers employees due to the diversity of guests they receive. The bathroom should be cleaner because the shower had mold. The room was very small, but that is typical of European hotels. I believe it is too expensive for what they offer.

Nice people, mediocre room

The staff were all wonderful, but the room was tiny and the mattress on the double bed old.
