We had a fantastic stay at the Hotel, could not fault it. We used the pool and spa facilities on both days of our stay and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be returning for another relaxing stay with you. 5* * 2 very small points - 1. the windows need a clean in the pool to see the most amazing view 2. A mattress topper on the two single beds (pushed together) to cover the join.

Lovely modern hotel with great staff ,nice spa with treatments available. Food in the restaurant was great and tasty .breakfast had a great choice of cereals ,fruit and cooked food .The rooms are decorated in modern colours and the bed was very comfortable, would highly recommend a stay here !

Spa great and surroundings. Easy access and helpful polit staff. The stay let down by lack of attention to detail such as the DVD player handset batteries had clearly been emitting battery acid for some time and DVD player being the only form of entertainment in room other than standard TVchannels did not work. Take your own entertainment if you stay as it rains a lot!

I booked superior room with queen bed for my husband’s 70th birthday. I am not one to complain but room was dusty (high and low areas ) and big stain on carpet (see photos). Long-life milk for tea and coffee was 1 month out of date, (yes this was rectified with fresh milk in a jug of milk instead of long-life sachets Food was nice But was let down by the cleanliness of the room’s also attention to detail lighting with bulbs not working and other little bits and pieces. Lockers in the spa facilities did not work very well as had to ask staff to open my locker after swimming

Peaceful and clean place and great location. It was a shame that you had to go out from the spa to the hotel: not ideal in the winter. I did not think that the staff were very attentive to their customers and there were no excuses because the hotel was far from being full. The menu in the hotel was predictable: mainly fish & chips, pizzas or burgers and I wish there was more authentic Cornish food in the main courses.

Have to give Jessica on reception a good review here. It was busy on reception and she said she would send me an email with a breakdown on for me. I thought this won’t happen. An hour later she did what she said and followed it up with a pleasant email. I will be back in April as had a great experience

Limited parking and poor car park lighting. I was upgraded, which was nice, but unexpected mould on ceiling above bath and water still in kettle from previous guests are schoolboy errors and let the hotel down.

Very impressed, from the room and facilities to the restaurant, staff and quality of food. The breakfast was excellent although staff were a little stretched so service perhaps a bit slower than ideal - but that’s being picky!

Two halves - standard rooms dirty and tired
Having had an enjoyable stay previously in the newer wings of the hotel, I booked a standard room in the old house. The room itself was okay, but everything needed a deep clean, from the toilet and shower to the TV remote. Everything I touched felt dusty and grubby (and worse in some cases), with many months of poor cleaning - it needs more than a wipe over. The decor, which was once stylish, is now in very poor condition and desperately requires decoration- peeling paper and scuffed paintwork everywhere. Shame really, as the newer rooms are very nice but wouldn’t stay in a standard room in the old house again.

Great location for exploring the local area. Breakfast super tasty but service for breakfast can be chaotic at times with many breakfast choices running out with gaps in replenishment. Evenings at the hotel are very quiet and the main bar area there was no ambience at all.

We only booked a standard room just for 1 night but i have to say that it was really nice. Very spacious, nice balcony, very clean and a comfortable bed. What else do you need? The hotel was in nice grounds and very clean. We would definitely stay there again
