It was okay...a little weird.
What a strange place. I’ll start with the positives: it’s new, the pool is nice and huge, it’s definitely clean and the staff seemed friendly enough (and breakfast was great). I do think most positive reviews are from people who aren’t used to nice hotels. Sea view balcony was especially nice. But there was something off about the place. Maybe it was the decor (like someone if you combined a 1980s glam rock video with space) that made it off-putting and cold. Or maybe it was the weird vibe among staff (why was everyone’s pupils dilated like that?). Also, the atrium being in the Middle means sound carries a lot to every room. Had to sleep with ear plugs. Most annoying was the fact that even though they take your credit card for incidentals, they won’t charge them to it. They’ll call you and arrange by email. Never had that happen before - I don’t make a habit of checking out of most hotels and I didn’t for the two other wonderful stays I had in Cyprus - no problem. Yet here they say they have no way to charge you for incidentals unless you are present. If I were a hotel I’d change that policy ASAP. I can’t imagine how many guests don’t check out. They must spend a lot of time chasing their guests by phone after they left (we got a call 24 hours later) and must lose a lot of $$$ that way. In short, this hotel was fine but didn’t live up to reviews. Or maybe we were spoiled by our other two stays on Cyprus!
