Pros: Everything
Cons: Wifi in the pool area
Location: Great location
We had a great time in this hotel The location is fantastic by the beach and close to town. The staff is very pleaser and helpful. Although the hotel was nearly fully booked there was enough space and a nice atmosphere We highly recommend this hotel.

well situated hotel

Posted 01-Jul-2017
Pros: Situation
Cons: Overall the hotel could do with updating
Location: Location very good, close to harbour with bars and restaurants. Also well situated for historical interests,
ok hotel. well situated, close to harbour, bars and restaurants. staff friendly and helpful. A few niggles. We asked could we have coffee in room, not a problem, when we asked if it was a daily rate they said it was free, so why not just put it in rooms??? We asked for a local map, not a problem but locked away in a cupboard. The same with holiday rep books. We asked where we could get a newspaper and were told in the boutique, when we went in we asked and surprise surprise they were kept in the back were nobody could see them. The two pools where heated, which was lovely, unfortunately too many babies and toddlers for us, so we spent most days in the sister hotel The Annabelle. Breakfast was acceptable rather than great.Carpets in hallways need replacing. Inside the whole area of guest rooms seems a bit tired.

Lovely hotel close to harbour

Posted 14-May-2017
Excellent hotel good location, friendly staff good food and service, cleaning to high standards. If I had anything to complain about is that the walls to bedrooms are thin and it almost felt as though we had people in our room. And doThink during the busy periods of the year there will not be enough sun loungers to facilitate the size of the hotel

Modern hotel in great location

Posted 26-Mar-2017 on Hotels
My sister and I visited the Almyra late March to celebrate her birthday. The weather was cooler than expected but the last three days were lovely. I did miss being able to eat dinner outside but that was not the hotels fault, just a little chilly for al fresco dining. We went half board, and there was a good selection of food to suit most tastes. It would have been nice to have a kettle and tea in the room. The coffee machine produced very strong very small espresso coffee only. We had a suite on the ground floor so enjoyed the beautiful views and use of a terrace for private sunbathing. The walls are rather thin so we did on occasion find the music playing in the adjoining room a rather loud. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Very expensive for the quality and size room. Might be time of year but felt like the hotel is really aimed at over 65's en masse Nice new spa area although treatments are way overpriced. We are used to 4 seasons five-star quality and this is certainly not anywhere near that level!

Good 4* hotel, modern, spacious and well located

Posted 15-Feb-2017
Pros: Position, style, sea view rooms and terrace, good gym
Cons: Food quality and more comfortable furniture
Location: Sea front has everything you need - bards restaurants, chemist, grocery shops, excursions, etc.
Overall, Almyra is a lovely hotel, the staff are friendly and the facilities (when open) are good. 1 of the 3 pools was closed for maintenance with a 4th being built (construction site and constant noise was disappointing). Furniture overall is uncomfortable (bedroom chairs, sun beds, etc) but the most disappointing aspect is the quality of the food. Whilst choice is good, a buffet style service means that no food is hot - Luke warm at best. Breakfast has an 'egg station' where eggs/ omelettes are cooked fresh. However, no such station was available for dinner so evening food was tepid. Luckily, we only had a B&B deal and only had dinner once in the hotel. There are numerous good quality restaurants just a pleasant stroll to the sea front. We did enjoy out stay and will return (B&B only). One final point worth meantioning, The sea view rooms (bright & airy) are far superior to the garden terrace rooms which are mostly in the shade all day.

Very Comfortable!

Posted 22-Jan-2017 on Ebookers
We had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The staff were very warm and really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious but the decor was quite tired and the bathroom tiling really needed to be redone. The food at the Mosaic was to a high stand - definitely recommended!
