Fantastic family friendly hotel!

Posted 19-Jul-2015
We visited The Almyra as our first holiday with our baby girl (4.5 months). The hotel were fantastic providing many essentials on the room (travel cot, baby bath, activity gym, changing mat) with the option to have other things (steriliser, formula, nappies) provided at a small fee. The staff were all very friendly and great with our little one. The pool areas were split into two at opposite ends of the complex and looking out to sea. There was a family pool which graduated from shallow to approx 1.4m (plus additional shallow kiddy pool) and also a separate 'adults only' area with an indoor pool and outdoor infinity pool. Kids club facilities took children from 3 months upwards. While we didn't use these ourselves, many of the families we met did use them for slightly older children and thought they were fantastic! Lovely spa area and treatments. Complete relaxation! Our package included breakfast which provided a wide range of hot and cold foods. The options for half and full board were also there. If on a b&b tarrif there are lots of lovely restaurants within close proximity of the hotel. Definitely one I would recommend to others!

Great hotel for both families and couples/singles

Posted 16-Jul-2015
Pros: Modern, clean, friendly staff, picture-esq, location, facilities. Cannot fault the stay.
Location: great location. 5 minute seaside walk to the centre of kato paphos. Basically, everything is within walking distance
For a Mid/late 20's single traveler, this hotel was perfect. The hotel has great food, 2 lovely bars (with accommodating staff) and 2 fantastic pools, one for the kids and one for the adults if you want a bit of peace and quiet away from the noise! It does not have a great beach right outside, but if you walk 5 minutes (max) from the hotel, there is a fantastic public beach if you prefer sea water to pool!

Fantastic hotel and great service

Posted 26-May-2015
I've just got married there last week. I must say it is a beautiful hotel and the service was brilliant but I think the hotel is a little dated. Overall the wedding venue was more than perfect, the staff was so supportive and friendly. Food was absolutely 5 star! All my family and friends loved this hotel. Perfect location for people who likes to explore the restaurants and bars at night time. There are plenty of restaurants just across the road and Bar Street was just a 3 minute walk from the hotel across the road. The harbour is just a distance of 5 minute walk. We would definitely come back for our anniversary.

good but room for improvement

Posted 21-May-2015
Pros: Facilities/staff and location
Cons: Noise/ pest hygiene and comfort of beds
Location: great location close to harbour and restaurants with lots of watersports nearby
Lovely hotel and location but no beach and what there is is very rocky.Good restaurants on site and staff very helpful. There was a lot of couples with very young children so very noisy around pools and we were unlucky to be next door to a crying baby every morning-no sound proofing it felt like baby was in the room!We had a problem with cockroaches and had to call twice to get them removed-not a great advert for a 5* hotel!!.we found the mattress and pillows not to be the most comfortable either. There are a lot of good points with this hotel sadly let down by the issues already stated and if they were addressed I would have no problem recommending it to anyone

Lovely seafront hotel

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: The staff are fantastic.
Cons: The bathrooms in the hotel need upgrading.
Location: Paphos harbor is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There are many bars and restaurants in that area. The Roman mosaics are nearby.
Lovely hotel facing the sea (no beach). Fantastic staff who couldn't do enough to make our stay as relaxing as possible. Excellent menus at all restaurants. The hotel is child friendly, but also has adult only pools, restaurant and outdoor space.

Loved it! Food was fantastic. We especially loved the adult only pool area. Very chilled vibe and relaxing. We went as a couple, was ideal. Great for families too as they had kids pool.

A relaxing Cypriot break

Posted 06-May-2015
Pros: Pretty much everything! The staff, the view, the pool, the spa, the cleanliness, I could keep going!
Cons: The hotel is beginning to show its age slightly - the odd tile is discoloured, furniture is a bit scratched but by no means anything to worry about.
Location: Paphos is OK, a bit touristy and looks like it might have had its day but it's OK for an evening walk or to find the odd restaurant gem.
We had a fantastic time at the Almyra. Whilst the hotel is beginning to show its age, and perhaps hasn't got all the mod cons of some 5* hotels, it has everything you really need (air con, free wifi etc, clean and tidy facilities and excellent service). The view from our Superior Sea View room was exactly that, and such a nice vista to wake up to. The family pool was brilliant for our 2 year old - he could stand up for about 1/3 of it and should you want to escape from the kids the spa area was very tranquil. Yes, the prices of food & drink are inflated compared to in Paphos itself, but no more than you would expect for a hotel, and it wasn't enough to put us off eating and drinking what the restaurants had on offer (our last evening meal at Notios was AMAZING). You can't beat the setting for Ouzeri either.

Boutique hotel pathos

Posted 18-Apr-2015
Fairly slick looking hotel but dies t cut it at the highest level for looks As furnishings are just not there .Sister hotel Anabelle definetley more class, style and beautiful grounds . Sorry at the money It charges , it needs to be better . Food in restaurants ie Notios exellent , but Brekfast buffet is all a bit manic and samey as many 3 and 4 star competitors.

We stayed for one week in April. The facilities, icluding lovely spa were very good overall. A particular point is the service and staff-always willing to go further to help.
