Pantigo Road Historic District Holidays from £841

Very nice hotel, under construction so I did have to change my room but staff were helpful.

Almost about the hotel was great. Location. Price. Appearance and cleanliness. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Thoughtful use of limited space in the room. Proximity to several subway lines. Just three things to be aware of: the two queen beds are so close they touch. It's like having one giant bed. The frosted glass bathroom doors let through a lot of light if someone uses it in the night. And getting an elevator with space during the morning check out rush was next to impossible (12th floor). We ended up carrying our bags down the stairs. But these hiccups were minor. We would stay again for sure.

We had a great stay at this beautiful location. It surpassed our expectations - It was clean, a 2 minute walk to a great diner and the subway that had us in Manhattan in less than 15 minutes. It was also very close to a lot of stores and the view was top notch. There is also a rooftop bar an elevator ride away. The problem was that if you went up there and it was closed you could only get to the bottom floor next door and you could be locked in. FDNY was there one night getting someone out of an elevator shaft and they were about to break the door to open it because they were locked in. Check-in was not good. The code they gave me didn’t work and there were other guests who had the same issue. I had to call for a new code which took quite a bit of time, and then they put me in a one bedroom when I had reserved a two bedroom. The code that ended up working stopped working the next day and if it hadn’t have been for my kids still being in the room I would’ve been locked out of the building and room entirely. Fortunately when I got to the right room I requested the number for the property manager and he was able to assist with the new code, which switched again later that evening. If they can get the code issue figured out and get the right people into the right rooms this would be the perfect stay. We plan to stay there again when we come to NyC next and I hope they have all the code issues figured out by then.

My girlfriend and I loved our stay. We stayed for a total of 5 nights. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived long after our check-in time, but it was no issue. We checked in online beforehand, which did cause an issue when we checked in at the front desk, but they resolved it quickly and smoothly. We stayed on the top floor, and we had no issues with the noise from the bar/restaurant upstairs. We were worried about it since other reviewers warned about how noisy it was, but it was minimal. The location of the hotel was perfect for us since we relied on the ferry to get everywhere we could. We recommend this hotel, and we will be staying here every time we return to NYC! Also, check out El Lado Taco in Astoria if you're planning to go to Astoria Park. It's nearby, and it was the best meal we had on our entire trip!

Well equipped, you can ask for a variety of extras at no charge if required (e.g. More utensils, slow cooker). Fantastic location just a few blocks away from two PATH dtations connecting to NYC in roughly 15 mins. Nice neighborhood with stores and restaurants st walking distance. Amazing value for the money
