This place is extremely overpriced for what you get. We booked a six-night stay and were given a room that smelled strongly of mildew. The carpet was dirty, the bathroom was not clean, and the sliding door to the outside did not have a screen, making it essentially useless. Overall, this was the worst place we have ever stayed. We also strongly suspect that we became sick during our stay, although we cannot say for certain that the property was the cause. Based on our experience, we would never stay here again and cannot recommend this place.

"This is a historic hotel so you can expect some differences from a modern box. We asked for a quiet room which we certainly got. It was reached down a maze of corridors and the view was a wall. However it was beautifully quiet compared to the place we had at Fisherman's Wharf the night before."
