3 star hotel at 4 star price
A good choice for our family who after four days in the city wanted to experience a Panamanian all inclusive and relax on a beach for a few days. Nice clean beach. Very good food. Nice staff and rooms. Grounds and pool bars and bathrooms need some work. Activities limited.

Go to the Sheraton Bijao
Deceptive ad on Expedia -- additional charges appear. They charge way too much for what they offer. Go to the Sheraton Bijao Panama on the same beach, pay the correct price, and get more than you expect.

Beautiful property
The hotel has tons of potential. The staff needs proper training on customer service and food service. We arrived at noon and were charged $50 to "hang out" at the pool and beach because check in wasn't until 3 pm. The hotel was not full and we did not want food so charging us money to be there and still not giving us a room until 3 was a little extreme.

Don't believe bad reviews
We were here for 3 nights but did not want to leave. We read so many horrible reviews we were dreading stopping off to see friends here for 3 nights but we thought we would keep an open mind. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The staff at front desk Christian was super friendly and helpful and guy at front door very friendly. The manager and ALL staff in ALL restaurants were very helpful there was always someone nearby knowing English if we had a question. The pool area was very clean and there were very comfortable beds with 4 pillows and curtains for shade at pool. Everywhere we went we saw people cleaning it was spotless. There was so much food and great selection and 3 a la carte restaurants too. If you want an ocean view it is $50 extra per day but if you are there for a week well worth it just for the balcony. The cappuccino at lobby bar was delicious, and mohitos. Looks like this hotel has turned itself around I would highly recommend.

Nice stay and Fun New Year Celebrations
My husband and I stayed in this all-inclusive hotel 5 nights. The room/suite was large and had a living room with flat screen TV, full kitchen, refrigirator with bottled water, bear, and soda, bedroom with the 2nd flat screen TV, huge balcony with beautiful view of the ocean. We enjoyed swimming in three main pools and walks on a long beach. The problem with this beach was that it was muddy due to sand and silt exposed during the tides and suspended in the water. The word "blanca" for the beach is desirable. It is more grey and black in some areas. Food was OK. I wish there was more seafood. Italian restaurant definitely needs a lot of improvement in ambiance/decor and cooking. I do not recommend going there. There was not much in terms of activities, but we did go on a canopy zipline tour of 5 short ziplines, which was pricy for foreigners and rented hobby cat for 1 hour. There were also windsuf boards there, but the sails were located at a different hotel down the beach. Scuba did not appear attractive by the small island not too far from shore due to poor visibility and not much interesting to see. So, we decided that was not worth it and was too expensive for 1 dive. We really enjoyed the New Year Eve celebration. It was quite a show starting with buffet dinner, and followed by the light show with DJ music, latin band, about 30 min of spectacular fireworks, champaign toast, and more DJ music until 3:30 AM! The way to go!

Good to relax
I stayed on a 4 days vacation, the hotel is what I was looking for, calm quiet and good to relax. The food service of All Inclusive is OK, the staff is very polite and helpful. The room is very good, clean and comfortable.

Wyndham Grand --NOT so Grand !
Wyndham does not live up to its name at this resort. A beautiful setting Two hours away from the city of Panama. Beautiful large suite we had., nice view of pools and ocean. grounds were beautiful, beach lovely, Pacific not good for swimming in, too many waves in this area. We had NO running water the day we arrived, had to be moved for overnight to another room, Then the next day back into the first room we were in. Then on the 5th day of our stay we had NO A/C, wanted to mvoe us again, but we said we would not be packing up for another day & night. Asked front desk clerk to supply us with a fan, was told they did NOT have one, We said we would not move then, but when we got back to room after being at the pool, a big fan appeared, it sounded like a tractor running, so you could not sleep with it on, but did move the air around in the room. The buffet meals were not good, same thing over & over, Booked through Expedia that had raving reviews, that said there was Wi-fi in rooms -NOT so, shuttle service--NOT so, casino, NOT, and the list goes On & On. This could be a very nice resort IF they had there mechanical things fixed.. LONG 3 hr. trip back to airport through a very busy city, with only 3 lanes of traffic, during the rush ours, and 70,000 people trying to get into the city for work. When going to Panama, stay closer to the city, unless you can charter a flight into Panama at the new airport, it is only 10 minutes away from this hotel. Would not recommend this hotel

The hotel is situated on a very nice beach, with nice new rooms, and many pools, but the staff is making your staying a mess. I would never visit this hotel again, neither recomend it to a friend. There are other hotels near by, on the same beach but with much better service and even lower prices.

Lovely hotel just isolated
Nice and clean, staff very friendly. Inclusive deal is good but the food could be a lot better. I recommend a car so you can go off and explore as the hotel is very isolated.

Very Relaxing place on the Pacific Coast of Panama
Stayed there for 3 nights in Feb 2014. The drive from the Airport wasn't too bad and once you are passed Panama City it's a lot like driving in the states. Hotel was pretty easy to find and once there the service was really good. We don't speak much Spanish and they were always willing to try to communicate or find some one that can speak English. Only two issues we had, first one was minor but didn't know about it. You have to make reservations (free) for the restaurant you want to eat at by 3pm the day of. We didn't get there until 4 and didn't know about it but they have a open buffet that was pretty good that you don't have to make reservations for. The other issue was probably just related to our room was there wasn't any warm water in the shower. So we had to take cool to cold showers or swim a lot in the pool. Other than that I would highly recommend staying there and if you get a chance drive up to El Valle just up the road, really cool area in the mountains. Internet was ok at times (1Mbps) and bad during times when lots were on it. But there is wired internet in the room (under the desk) which seemed to help with the speeds.

The hotel was full, I think the administration didn't consider employ extra personnel in order to keep the quality of the guests, specially in bars and restaurants for breakfast and lunch. It was really necessary! I think the hotel administration must take care of the class of people who go there. We pay to share with nice people.

This hotel by any mean is not a 4 star hotel and neither a 3. I would hardy give it a 2 star. Dirty swimming pools. Few very obnoxious personnel. Local people that the management did not bother to train to interact with guests. Not even Jacuzzi for all the guest to relax. I wish I would have stayed at another resort there such as: Sheraton or de Cameron. I was told they were much nicer. Sorry Wyndham you won't see me there again.

Disappointing rooms!
We were a party of 6 and had 2 rooms. The rooms were 'deluxe' but were very small, and the beds were also very small, just double sized beds, definitely not queen sized. The smell in each room was awful musty in our room, and a smell I can only politely describe as a blocked toilet in my mum's. The smell never improved. There was NO coffee making facilities in our room, although there was a basic coffee maker and coffee in mum's, but no spoons, milk or sugar. There was no cold water in either tap over the sink in both our bathrooms. There were no balconies, and a view over waste land and buildings. These rooms were very basic, and VERY disappointing. Our room was not cleaned until 8pm on our 2nd day, and after was asked 3 times. We had been advised to book the evening meal at either of the 2 restaurants, which we did. The first night at the 'Grill', we arrived about 8pm, and no one was there, when we enquired, we were told it was shut (it is outside) due to the rain, there was no rain! The next night we booked into the Italian one, and waited almost an hour for the main course, even though we were about the 3rd party to arrive at 7pm. The service was so slow we simply could not wait for dessert. The last night we booked the Grill again, but this time it did rain in the afternoon, so when my husband checked at about 6.20, he was told it was closed again, and this would have been ok, except when we walked by later on, there were a few couples and families eating there!

Nice resort but a little run-down!
The resort looks nice at first but it is in need of some TLC. the room had a very musty smell and the shower was less than attractive and there was no hot water. The one dinner we had was o.k. We ate at the beach hut and it was so dark we could hardly see our food, there were candles on the tables but they weren't lit. The steaks we were served were very small and over cooked and tough. Overall a bit disappointing for the price we paid. The pool and beach were very nice!

The hotel caters mostly to Panamanians but we felt very welcome. The rooms are lovely and the food was very good (we are strictly vegetarian) too. Alcoholic drinks are included in their full board rates. All in all a very good experience. Wish we had a few more days in Panama!

En general muy bien. Tan solo vi defectos importantes en las reservas en los restaurantes Palms y el italiano. Al primero nos dieron mesa demasiado pronto y al segundo demasiado tarde y ambos estaban vacíos cuando llegamos. En el restaurante Italiano, el agua sabe mal y no utilizan el agua del filtro para rellenar las jarras porque piensan que el cliente no se da cuenta. Lo mismo pasa en el restaurante de los snacks. En el restaurante japonés la muchacha de recepción era seria y de trato seco y poco amable. La otra muchacha contestaba lo contrario que preguntabas. Eran lentas y distraídas. El peor servicio de todo el hotel. La raciones eran diminutas y en el sushi en lugar de relleno de salmón había una mancha de salsa. La ensalada oriental era prácticamente inexistente. Es un lástima pues la materia prima es barata y quedaron super mal con esa entrada. La salsa de maní era del tamaño de media cucharadita de café. El peor plato de todo el hotel. el bufet era bueno, abundante y variado. El servicio era amistoso sonriente y amable. El servicio de animación muy bueno y la gente del equipo educada cordial y alegre. las piscinas , recámaras, la playa, excelentes. Haría falta más sombra. La música de ambiente bastante buena al igual que los músicos. El servicio del bar suficientemente efectivo y educado.

La única queja que tengo es que cuando entré a la habitación y abrí el refrigerador había una lata de Pepsi abierta. Pedí que me la reemplazaran, pero no lo hicieron. También pedí dos jabones extras, pero no me lo mandaron. Todo lo demás estuvo muy bueno.

¡HORRIBLE! Cuando llegamos nos informa que no hay habitación, que están "sobrevendidos", no respetaron la reserva, a un cliente al lado le dieron una habitación de categoría superior -pago en ese momento. A nosotros nos dejaron en la calle. Tuvimos que buscar otro hotel por nuestra cuenta. Las condiciones del hotel en relación al precio no iban acordes (poco hotel, mucho precio). La atención pobre

La habitación no va con el precio que se paga. Estrecha, con una ventana que no se podía abrir. La puerta fuera de marco había que golpearla para que cerrara. En la ducha no había donde colocar el jabón. Las piscinas y las facilidades están bien. Sin embargo la falta de aseo en las áreas de los bares es notable. Hay mejores hoteles en el área y con precios más convenientes.

Tengo que llamar la atencion que la atencion no es mala, pero la comida es pesima, nada de variedad ni en desayunos ni en almuerzos, las cenas por reservacion son mucho mejor. Por lo que se paga aconsejo cambien los menú. Aparte que no vi nada de animacion ni en piscina ni exterior....

Vi var mycket nöjda med hotellet. Vi tog en taxi från Panama City som tog ca 1,5 timmar. Vi tog en taxi på gatan i stan och det var billigt och enkelt. Vårt rum var inte klart för incheckning när vi kom men vi fick självklart ta del av hotells olika matställen ändå helt gratis. Mycket bra. fint poolområde även om hotellet ligger 20 meter från havet. Inte det bästa vattnet att bada i pga av vågor och strömmar men det är ju inte hotellets fel. Stranden är perfekt för mysiga eftermiddags promenader. Helt ok mat men ingen toppklass direkt. Vi var här i tre dagar och var glada för att vi valde just denna resort.

DO NOT BE FOOLED WITH THE PHOTOS >>> booked a room with KING bed, on arrival we were given a double bed room, we called to change it and repeatedly 5 times, that the rooms depends on availability. Our view was to the hotel service (power plants and view sheds hotel service). The hotel is all inclusive, then the idea of "service" does not exist in the pool bar at rush hour there are 3 people attending, if you want a bottle of water, you have to get out, go to the lobby to pay, and ask again in the pool ...... Anyway, I do not recommend to ANYONE under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. NO SE DEJE ENGANAR CON LAS FOTOS>>> Reservamos una habitacion con cama KING, al llegar nos dieron un cuarto doble, llamamos para cambiarlo y nos repitieron 5 veces que los cuartos depende de disponibilidad. Nuestra vista era a la parte de servicio de hotel (vista a plantas electricas y galpones de servicio del hotel). El hotel es todo incluido, entonces la idea de "servicio" no existe, en el bar de la piscina a hora pico hay 3 personas atendiendo, si quieres una botella de agua, tienes que salirte, ir al lobby a pagarla, y pedirla nuevamente en la piscina...... En fin, no se lo recomiendo a NADIE bajo NINGUN CONCEPTO.

hotel à proximité d'un chantier de construction
La construction d'une tour à proximité des bâtiments 5 et 6 génèrent beaucoup de bruit. Les chambres n'ont pas toutes des balcons et sont mal insonorisées. Impression d'être en prison avec le bruit en plus... Les finitions sont moyennes dans les chambres. mauvais écoulement du siphon de douche, impression de marcher dans un pédiluve pendant la douche. Présence de méduses et beaucoup de courant dans la mer. La baignade est souvent interdite (drapeau rouge)
