Expected better from a Hampton.

Pros: Breakfast was okay.
Cons: Clean up outside to make more presentable. Proper linens.
Maybe my expectations were too high, but this hotel is ready for a face lift. The surrounding area needed cleaning and mowing, the sheets on the mattresses were too small to stay put while sleeping, you had to hold the handle down for several seconds for the toilet to flush, and I didn't think you could get toilet paper any cheaper than the standard hotel variety, but they found it. All in all, it appears that the poor economy has probably filtered down to the maintenance budget with the hotel being run more as a budget motel rather than the usual Hampton Inn.

In need of renovation and cleaner rooms

Pros: We appreciated the proximity to the beaches.
Cons: The hotel is in need of renovation and cleaning.
Location: The hotels and the restaurants right along the strip are beaten up from all of the spring breakers. Travel to Panama City for better restaurants.
Like a lot of the hotels near the beach, the Hampton PCB is older. We were told that the hotel is undergoing renovation. We hope so - the popcorn ceiling in our room was drooping from what appeared to be a history of roof leaks, the air conditioner struggled to pull enough moisture out of the air, the bedside alarm clock display was malfunctioning, the non air-conditioned hallways and elevator were brutally hot, the mattresses were very thin and very hard, and one of the ice makers was out of order. The rooms could be much cleaner. When we checked in to the first room, we found an infestation of bugs on one of the box springs. They did not appear to be bed bugs but we're not entomologists. Upon even closer inspection, we saw that there was a lot of hair between the mattresses and the box springs at the heads of the beds. For both cases, it appears that the beds are not tended to as they should be. We requested a room change, and although the desk staff offered to upgrade us, there were no rooms available for an upgrade. It would have been appropriate to discount our rate at that point, but the staff said that they couldn't accommodate us since we booked through Expedia. The location of the hotel in proximity to the beaches is great, but we would have been willing to drive further for a comfortable and clean room.

Quick checking; colors at desk with coffee; nice facilities; very nice room; easy checkout. Hallways not airconditioned and were hot my hotel condition rating cannot be excellent.

bad hotel charging Ritz price for a 2 star rating

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything, and first of all the price...
Location: nothing special...
Bad experience from not finding our reservation to dirty amenities and room, the room was just above the smoking area where all night long people were drinking, smoking and yelling, the price we paid was Ritz level and the quality of the stay was at best 2 stars, will not go there again...

Nice hotel about 5 minutes from the beach

Everything was very clean, loved that. Breakfast being included was a huge plus so I didn't have to go out early with my 2 toddlers. The hotel staff was not the best. They not greet people, they just kind of smirk. However, I would definitely stay here again.

It was ok, other than it doesn't have laundry, where you can wash your clothes or the splash pad for kids as it was advertised.
