This gulf-front condo at Tidewater Beach Resort has been beautifully and stylishly decorated, with furnishings and paint choices that reflect the soft blues of the water below. Step outside onto the balcony to take in breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico, enjoy free seasonal beach service downstairs, and spend your days among indoor and outdoor pools, several hot tubs, a poolside bar, a 4,300-square-foot fitness center, a game room, and a movie theater at the resort. The resort sits right across the street from Oishi Thai & Sushi Bar, and just down the road from Pier Park and its 124 stores, wonderful sources of entertainment, and restaurants such as The Brass Tap, The Back Porch, and Pompano Joeā€™s. Take a ride on the Panama City Beach Skywheel, catch the summer concert series at the Aaron Bessant Amphitheater, or stroll along the Russell-Fields Pier at sunrise or sunset (all are three-quarters of a mile east). THINGS TO KNOW Reservations from March through October include beach service (two chairs and one umbrella). Guest Registration is required for all guests. Guest registration includes parking passes and RFID wristbands. Failure to register will result in being denied check-in. Elevators were a bit of a hassle. Just par for the course when you’re staying at a location with that many rooms. In order to get in and out of the pool, beach access area, as well as into the main area for the elevators a wrist band is required. The glass top on the coffee table was very dirty/greasy. We took it off. The main bedroom dresser has a missing knob and had several stains. The kitchen walls had food stains and not all of the dishes were clean. The kitchen floors were sticky and all of the baseboards need to be cleaned. I really don’t feel the place was cleaned as well as it could’ve been. Some of the washcloths smelled like dirty feet. The location itself was good. The check in and out process was easy. The beach service staff (who might not be employed by Tidewater) made crude jokes. They do offer luggage carts which is a plus. I had to clean and sanitize most of the areas in the living room and kitchen along with some of the bathrooms. The view was amazing. But the elevators were a disaster. 30 minutes to sometimes nearly an hour to get on in an outside corridor in the heat with no breeze. It was a good 4-5 hours per day waiting for elevators. The only way I’d stay at Tidewater again is on the 5th floor or lower so stairs are an option. We enjoys the room a lot. The elevator service was terrible. It diminished our trip. There is plenty of space to add more elevator banks. I would do that ASAP. Every person we met waiting said they would never be back again. The longest we waited was 25 minutes with our luggage cart. We needed to go up to 18th but the elevator bypassed our floor and went up to 30 then proceeded to stop on every floor on the way down whether the button was pushed or anyone was waiting outside. Finally a security attendant got on with us used her key and got us to our floor. ##### Stephanie M. The one chair 1/2 way decent to sit on is falling apart. The little table is ok. The 2nd chair is broken and cheap plastic. The air conditioning has a problem and seem to be a ongoing thing. Our first 2 days we didn't have comfort. The air was 85 degrees. After several calls a maintenance man finally came to check it out.
