The hotel is in a good location. Once you come to terms with the fact that many parts of Goa and India have large piles of rubble, wastelands, and even stray cows, this hotel offers a lot in terms of access to to good restaurants, taxis and local super market stores.
The hotel employees were very pleasant, opening doors for us, wishing us a good day and catering to us extensively, even a little too extensively at breakfast! I found all of Acacia's people to be great advocates of their brand.
The breakfast was good and comprehensive. There is a selection of continental, English and Indian breakfasts. I really enjoyed the Goan cuisine choices and small muffins! However it would have been be nice to have some more day to day variety at breakfast time.
Some small downsides: our internet was only valid for 24 hours and a little patchy at that, despite our belief that it was a 24/7 complimentary feature throughout our stay. We felt that the shower leaked slightly as there was often a small puddle in front of our door. Although the balcony was much appreciated, our view was a little lacking. The hotel also hosts music and food events which are a mixed bag as we hear some beautiful and authentic Bollywood music, but it can be a little distracting if you would like a quiet relaxing nights sleep.
Overall I would really recommend Acacia for this area of Goa in terms of quality service, excellent traveller friendly restaurants nearby and as a good starting base for exploring!
