It's a fun, comfortable and inviting home; perfect for the quintessential Palm Springs vacation getaway. Built in 1959, this is an original Alexander-built home featuring the iconic architectural aesthetic Palm Springs is known for. Enter the home and immediately you’ll notice the unique pebble-tec flooring throughout. Every detail has been considered to suit the home's many guests: it's well appointed and equipped to suit every visitor. Featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a HUGE 34'x14' saltwater pool, above ground hot tub (perfectly positioned to maximize stunning mountain views), natural gas grill, outdoor dining, plenty of outdoor lounge seating around a large fire pit and indoor Sonos sound system, every guest will feel welcome! Hi-speed internet throughout so it can easily support all your devices. The living room offers comfortable seating that can easily allow 6-8 guests to watch their favorite TV program. The fireplace will only add more ambiance in the cooler winter months. A 60-inch Smart HDTV insures an excellent media experience. The kitchen is perfect for the home-cook or hobby chef. There is a new 5-burner stove with a convection oven. The kitchen has been well-stocked with pots, pans, baking dishes, appliances and more. There's plenty of serving pieces to entertain the household and make each meal, indoors or outside, special. The dining room can comfortably seat 6-8 guests for dinner. You'll notice, too, that we haven't forgotten your pups. There's a doggy door to provide your dog ease in coming and going at his/her own leisure. It's a secure back yard. There is a great mix of sleeping arrangements. The primary bedroom features a king bed, a patio and an outdoor pool shower (cold water only). Guest room 1 features a queen bed and guest room 2 features two twins. With advance notice, the two twins can be put together to offer an additional king bed. There are TVs in each bedroom. The lot is huge making for spectacular outdoor living. Off the dining room, there is the covered lanai with seating for up to 8 guests and a natural gas grill. No propane tanks to swap at this home. Chaises and umbrellas complete the poolside lounging experience. Recline on the king-sized cabana bed for an afternoon nap or star gazing at night. A large four-foot fire pit is ideal for chilly evenings or romantic summer nights. Seating for 6-8 ensures everyone can enjoy the evening together. This beautiful vacation rental is a short drive to downtown Palm Springs, with its many bars, shops, restaurants, and art galleries. Other Palm Springs attractions are similarly a short drive away, from area casinos and gambling, world renowned spa resorts, tennis, golfing, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Racquet Club Estates is a premier neighborhood of Palm Springs. The neighborhood is rich with architecture and history. It should be noted the city has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. The owner(s) like to stress this home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” home. Each guest is expected to be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves. Special events like weddings are NOT allowed. \- Per City ordinance, no music is allowed outside the (fully enclosed) home, at any time of day. \- Per City ordinance, we are required to have your ID on file. Great value for the money as well. The home is on the 'windy side of town' which we didn't really know about - the cushions and things blew across the lawn quite a bit and the wind was surprisingly noisy. Seems important to know. The house itself was clean, well-stocked, and fabulously furnished for any fan of Mid Century style. It felt comfortable, light and airy with adequate space for the five of us and our family pet. All appliances were in great condition and ready for use. Much time was spent in the super-clean heated pool and jacuzzi. The entire back yard was lovely; well-maintained, spacious, with plenty of outdoor furniture to lounge in. Restaurants, cafes and shopping can be found in the nearby downtown area. I'm a vintage clothing fanatic, so I was in heaven! Lots of vintage clothing and furniture shops downtown. A visit to the Art Museum is well worth adding to your to-do list. Great collection of modern art. One of the biggest advantages: close proximity to Joshua Tree National Park. We visited twice within the week and absolutely loved hiking in the park. Another hit with my kids was the Palm Springs Air Museum. What a wonderful week we had. Plenty of activity and rest. Communications with Rental Management were easy and followed by prompt, courteous responses. Check in/out were a breeze. Only two criticisms worth mentioning include the somewhat shabby nature of the neighborhood (however, once inside you are in your own private oasis). Secondly, the extreme sound limits imposed upon outdoor use (for a property offered to families with pets). I was astonished to find small postings on all exterior doors stating rules such as (I'm paraphrasing), "No music allowed outdoors-ever." "Outdoor activities should lessen by the time of 9pm." And further, "Renters should remain inside by 10pm". A $1,000 Palm Springs fine to be imposed if these rules were not adhered to. What a shame to rent a vacation home in this beautiful spot with pools and spas which are not allowed to be accessed at night under the stars. Ultimately it wasn't a problem for our family, but I can imagine this rigid policy being a big disappointment or deterrent for some. Ultimately, Yes, I'd love to stay at Racquet Club Estates again and would recommend it to others who can keep quiet. ##### Amy M. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to serve a full Thanksgiving dinner. The outdoor space included a pool, hot tub, gas grill, eating area, fire pit area, green grass and a mountain view. Excellent stay in a beautiful home. Kids were happy with the salt water pool and hot tub. Adults were happy with hip vibe. Well maintained. Tip top communications. The kitchen was amazingly equipped. Two comments which can't be positively addressed by owner and by property mgmt, but is really important to prospective renters. The no-outdoor-noise/music policy is a major bummer.
