Very close to beach access(like one block). We went to see the sunrise. And went after dark to possibly see sea turtles(unfortunately didn’t) it was very easy.

Room smelled of cleaning chemicals and was impossible to stay there. Light in room not working. No staff to be seen. Don’t know why it gets good reviews.

Lovely spot, easily walkable to the beach. But everything else requires a car trip. Some wear and tear in the room, but overall it's a very pleasant place to stay.

The room was clean. However, i saw a few creepy crawlers (ahhh, roaches) during my weekend stay. Other than that, my vacation was great. I loved the location so close to the beach.

Don’t let the beach picture fool you
The reason I got the hotel was because it stated that it was on the beach, but it’s not it’s a 12-15 min walk you can drive it’s was less but good luck finding parking. For the price I paid I could have got an actual hotel on the sand on the beach. Also while booking it says book now pay on site that doesn’t happen they charge the card same day. The staff only works until like 5. I did like that they had beach chairs you can use.

Needed a place for FAU family weekend--definitely provided what we needed and would consider staying again, but despite its location this is not a fancy stay. The hotel provided a great location to access Boca and other beaches--provided us with a small quiet room, small pool, kitchenette (though basic coffee pot micro and a couple cups/utencils).Furnishings need updates as does the property in general--kept clean but a few loungers torn, and bathroom dingy, rusted. Basic, inexpensive, pet friendly, great location

I got a pretty good deal, but I got what I paid for. Efficiency, with kitchenette, all fine, but mattress/bed ‘creeeeked’ every time I sat on it. Location was good; 135 yards to beach entrance and another 135yards to the beach. Reception person was not friendly and not available when needed. Supposed to be there 10am-5pm, but never saw him in the morning. Coffee maker was disgusting and unsafe, but another one was delivered after i asked twice (a misunderstanding). Good location, has some updates, but a patched bathroom door should be replaced and so should the bed. But for a cheap place, it was ok.

This small resort was perfect for my brief visit to SoFla to visit my daughters. Basically across the street from the beach yet super quiet. A nice refuge. Great spot.

There was roaches , the pool was contaminated with a spoiled dead lizard that I had to take out. I told the guy at the front office the next day cause there is no one there after 4pm and he didn’t do anything.

Kind of a secluded gem. The guy just asked my name and handed me my key in an envelope. Didn’t have to sign anything and when I checked out I just left the key in a drop box. The room was very spacious and clean. My glass top stove had a crack in it and the bathroom handle was loose. I fixed the handle myself. The office knew about the stove. The pool area was very clean as well. I’ll definitely be using them again.

Amenities not as advertised. No grills, no rooftop seating area, no coffee packets, very limited cooking utensils, office room is a storage for mattresses, etc. Pool is nice and very clean.

No soap , No Shampoo , No Coffee in Room
I thought everything would be fine in this hotel room until I discovered no soap to wash your hands or take a shower and no coffee although there is a coffee maker in the room. I've never been to a hotel where there is no soap or shampoo. ALSO NOBODY AT THE HOTEL TO CHECK YOU IN.

As we spoke per phone, I gave you the instructions to access your room as we are a very small property, we do not have a 24 hours front desk, but I gave you my number for any emergency. I will be able to provide the missing items in your room. I also noted that your check in was around 9PM, you could call me I live next to the hotel. For this reason thank you to give us another opportunity to make up this situation. I also shared this information to our housekeeping, it should never happening. Ours guests are 5 stars for us.

Older motel that needs a complete makeover.
Chose this place for location near beach and walkability. Unfortunately it has seen better days - ac unit loud and wouldn’t turn off until unplugged. Cold snap but no heat. Told on check out a heater in closet but only source of heat there was an iron, roach in shower, sofas covered in sheets for some strange reason, kitchenette looked new but had utensils and dishes for one, no glasses. Obviously neglected for years and not sure why.

As we spoke today, I would be really happy to help you if you send us a message to fix that, I was waiting for you until 8:30 PM as your stay was very short, but I guess you arrived late. I am taking care of the all issues, we just check the ac and it works normally. Sorry about the cold weather it is unusually. We provide utensils as per requested. I will change the instructions, when the guests will arrive late I prefer they call us to give us a better information what they need, for a better accommodation. thank you for your feedback.

The office was closed at 4:45 when I arrived to check in. They had a number on the door for guests to text if they had any issues. I texted that number and waited. Finally they texted back after I had already found another hotel and was in the process of checking in there…..it was about an hour later.

Perfect location
I found the staff to be welcoming at the Boca ocean Lodge. The location could not be beat. It is close to restaurants and right across the street from the beach. Gumbo limbo nature center is just a few minutes walk and certainly worth the trip. On the down side,the blinds in my room were all broken and would not open or shut properly depriving us of privacy. The room was old and the bathroom was musty and damp and did not have an air vent. $200 per night seems a little pricey for a place so old and deteriating but like I said earlier location location location....
